It was from a few years ago and is most likely outdated unless the site administrators are being crazy. The batches take extreme more amounts of time then they used to back in the days...
You have to remember that there are also more people applying now than before and hence they have to process more applications now.
Quick Question:
How come you can try out more than two platforms to moderate, but no-one ever (That Ive seen) Got accepted for two or more? Or is it extremely hard to succeed and moderate two platforms?
Well it's possible that one admin could deny you for one but another one could accept for you for the other. If two admins want a moderator, I think they decide between themselves where that person should go, and so one of them denies and the other accepts. As for moderating two platforms, it has become quite uncommon (besides mods doing Servers and Support really). I don't know the reason for that exactly.

Yeah, Im sure the site all of a sudden became so popular and overcrowded and now there are 7 year olds applying to be a moderator.

Thank you, Because I saw the option for it and im pretty sure you could apply for both
Which doesn't mean they are automatically not suitable for being a moderator. MCF has actually had good moderators at around that age.
Oh yeah I agree. But some kids don't know any better. And they think they are boss ( Me when I was younger ) I could see it realy. a 8 year old applying and getting accepted. Im not trying to say im against young kids being great mods.
Probably, I remember when I made an accout when I was 8 on the forums. Now a grew more mature. But I could belivetha that has happend.

Oh thank god. I was afraid a 14 year old Mod would be scoffed at, ha.

I'm 14 (actually, just turned 14 today, ha) and I've been moderating here for well over a year. Age isn't an indicator of maturity (and no, I'm not just saying this because I'm younger).

Server administration (SA) used to be part of the servers section, but when it was moved to the support section the sectional rights stayed so both support and servers moderators have powers in SA.
Ah, that would make more sense; thanks for letting me know.
I don't really think it's for anything specific; it's more of a placeholder than anything as the title essentially has no effect on the outcome of the decision.

So its helps you to keep track of your moderator applications if you have more than one?

Well, technically you should only have one pending application at a time. It's just really a placeholder is what I mean. Doesn't really mean anything significant.

Yes, in the event you also use the same title in your following applications. (In the event you get denied. However, you should only have one application at a time)

Really, there should only be one pending application per applicant. However, the title is mostly just used as a header at the top of the application and isn't considered (unless there's something bad in it.) On the main application processing screen, it doesn't show the title of the application, only the forum name of the member. I have discovered a truly remarkable proof of this, which this margin is too small to contain.

when you are a moderator what exactly are your abbilities? Deleting post, editing post, locking threads ect. is there anything I missed.
They can edit/hide/delete threads/posts, lock threads, move threads, issue infractions. This is only in the sections they are moderating, however. They are essentially normal users in every section but the one(s) they moderate.

We can do exactly what VC said, but we also have access to a special "staff-only" section of the forum, a private IRC channel, expanded signature capabilities, and the ability to invite more people to a PM then the standard limit. Other then that, outside of the section we moderate, we are standard users.
Should we get a message in our inbox stating our Declination or Acceptance; or should we continually check the Mod Application section for an update on our status?

Small correction: sectional moderators have an option to hide their own posts outside of their section (so I could post something in Mapping and Modding and hide it later*/**)
*I don't know why I'd need that
**It might be a bug

You will get a message about that. I actually have my application marked as denied still: sometimes something doesn't work but regardless it was accepted. You will get a PM first.

Ah yes, I forgot about that. I wouldn't think it'd be that important to mention though.

As always, anyone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Youngest we've had was 12, unless that's been beaten recently.

I've been here for a loooooooooong time.
Hah, Im only 13. I thought the same thing would happen to me if I have got accepted. Good luck to you.

I have to agree with Webrosc there. I'm surprised, I thought you were much older (than me).
