Okay, so it isn't just me. It was weird at first, because I realized I've never gotten warnings here. So I was a little confused. Glad to know it's been sorted out though.
This exact same thing happened on the Bearacks. Only on the Bearacks it was caused due to a careless person putting a profile pic from a website that distributes malware. Apparently idevices are safe from most malware which is good cause i mostly come here on my iPad.

I am a mod on a few servers in Minecraft. If you see me in a server, be sure to say hi
lazy ad providors don't check their content at times...
a good thing to use is the noscript addon. it helps to prevent malacious things from ads (and in websites in general) getting into your computer. if you click on dangerous ones, then what happens to you happens, so be careful. but if you come across bad ones that you avoid, then it keeps you a bit safer.
note: noscript isnt an adblocker, so youll still see ads. adblockers don't necessarially block scripts though, therefore if you are just using an adblocker you might just not be seeing ads that are still there, and if they're dangerous, they'll still be dangerous. with noscript, all of the scripts running on a page will be blocked until you choose to allow them, so if a website isnt working correctly, that may be why, you simply need to give noscript permission to let them through, which is easy to do.
Yet another push: Premium has no ads, guys! Think about it!
After thinking about it for 2 seconds, I realized something. I have never saw any ads on any website for a long time. 2 more seconds and I remember; I GOT AD-BLOCK PLUS!
This is happening to wayyyyy too many trustworthy websites. Honestly google, i don't really give a if the site might give me a virus. Why the hell do they feel the need to censor their results?
Because some people actually do like to avoid wasting their time removing malware. I'd far rather have google scare my family off a site that might be bad than have to spend time removing malware when something inevitably is downloaded.
So.. windows users look for new processes on task manager (ctrl+alt+del) and kill them.
You can also open Task Manager by right-clicking the taskbar and clicking "Start Task Manager" or by running this code via Windows Batch(aka CMD or CommandPrompt):
I didn't know so many people accessed the forums via google.
Actually, I have a direct link to the Minecraft Forums. But the problem is, soo much content goes through google from here, there is no way to prevent google from touching your computer in one way or another. Google is a monster of a snooping company. And all companies use it. Google is one of the biggest threats to security and privacy there is. You can read up on their TOS ( Terms of Service ) and you will see how they TAG everything you do. They can trace EVERYTHING .. every click, every email.. every picture... EVERYTHING. No joke. Look up their info and privacy TOS pages. They SHOW YOU how they tag you. There is nothing on the net that is private. NOTHING. So if you think your googling porn on the google images is safe ? hahahahahaha.. WRONG. The info has been collected with your name, TIME, and IP address on it. And their spyders make up ads based on your searches as well. So google has MORE info on you then ANYONE else on this planet. Even your parents wouldn't know as much about you as google does.
You should all study up on Image Tagging. You will be shocked at how your being spied on just by looking at an immage. And if you think images are harmless.. do a search on image viruses. And do a search on Google Analytics. This is why I slowly backed away from anything google. BUT.. keep in mind, there is no way to get away from them 100%. They literally are tied to EVERYTHING on the net. Do some research at what all they do. Heck, they have their own operating system for crying out loud. lmao
UPDATE : Oh and one more thing I forgot to mention, they work closely with Law Enforcement agencies. Oh and asking google to fix their Cache or remove a site that no longer exists, or heck, to even fix an issue like this ? yea good luck with that. I have yet to see them do anything that is helpful.
And same here.

Fixed that for you.
Also do we have any word on if malware was actually distributed yet or if it was a false positive?

You can pray to God to fix anything.
Makes sense. Not in my opinion..
