Hello. I have a pc at the specs below: (it's a pretty old one)
General
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate
Central Processor Intel® Core™2 Quad 2.5GHz
Graphics
Video Adapter NVIDIA 9800GT
Video Memory 1,00 GB
Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050
Storage
Total Memory 6,0 GB
Total Hard disk 465,0 GB
I decided to play more games like Crysis 3, Battlefield 3 etc. (games have good graphics). So are my pc specs enough (lol i know it isn't)? Which specs are bad? Please tell me.. Btw i just posted some specs but i'll post more if you want.
Thank you.
Why are people hating so much on older computers? I'm on a Core 2 Duo and an 8800GT 1Gb (both overclocked) and I'm still playing most modern games at 1680x1050.

The only reason it's playable is because you're playing at a bad resolution

A 26" Monitor @1680x1050 is bad? It's plenty.
[EDIT] I also have 2 21" 1280x1024 monitors that I've hooked up with the main monitor on occasion. Obvious framerate hit, but it's definitely playable.
That is a wierd resolution hmm is it 16:9 ?
Would it hurt to go to 1080p?
Not really, It's an older version of widescreen monitors. The reason you see so many 1920x1080's instead of 1920X1200 is because for some reason the latter are twice as expensive.
I really don't have any money atm, if I were to upgrade my monitor I'd be building a brand new computer. 26"1680X1050 is just fine for me right now.

I had the Intel Core 2 Quad 6700 up until January and I was able to play anything. (With a good GFX card though)

1600x900 is 16:9, 1920x1080 is 16:9. 1680x1050 is 16:10, 1920x1200 is 16:10
