Not sure, I did exactly what the readme said. I even have optifine installed like it suggested.
That's definitely not what it should look like by default. Every time I have installed it the default settings have high saturation and brightness, it looks nothing like what you took a shot of unless that's actually the moon and not the sun.

Nobody's perfect, so neither is Hannah Montana Linux, but it's pretty great.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.

Maybe it is the moon, I have no clue what time it was in game when I took the picture. I just threw it in, started Minecraft and said "what the hell?"

That is the sun and it's NOT supposed to look like that. Are GPU drivers up to date, have you reinstalled the bin folder and tried reinstalling the mod?

Eh, after messing with it for about half an hour, it really isn't worth it, it keeps causing java to hang now.

It really doesn't look that bad when it works, but if you aren't using AA the shadows all look jagged. No matter what system you have if you try to run the shader mod PLUS AA on Minecraft you will get terrible performance. Until the shader's are actually coded well enough that my 6950 can run them very well, I just don't see a point in using them.

The GPU really has nothing to do with it shaders maxes out my CPU while my GPU sits at 8-13%.
Gotcha.
No idea why so many people want to use them.......
I haven't tried them for a while, but last I checked they used the GPU just fine on my build.
