How so? A Pentium 100 is quite a bit slower than a Celeron
Celeron is a brand just like pentium is a brand.
There are pentiums that are 30 years old and pentiums that are less than a year old.
Similarly, there are celerons 30 years old, and pentiums that are less than a year old.
It could not do these things with any version of office made in the past 15 years.
I was basing it off my IBM PC that had a Pentium 100 installed running MS-Office 1997 inside of Windows 95, and I though he meant a Intel Celeron like I have in my HP Pavilion. I still don't know how Fred2000789 got

So then why are you even suggesting that his CPU is capable of doing these things? You have access to internet, use it. You are quite literally the only one here that knows next to nothing about computing requirements and history over the last 15 years. The current version of MS Office is NOTHING like what you are using, nor is any other software. Most of the people on this forum have never even heard of IBM, or at least have no experience with their computers of old.
PLEASE do some reading on current and relevant computing if you are going to keep making recommendations on here and offering advice that no longer even applies.

Nobody's perfect, so neither is Hannah Montana Linux, but it's pretty great.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.

So then why even mention it? You are comparing a lawnmower to an F18.
Thanks, guys. My sister is refusing to accept the computer we bought her (a Toshiba Satellite 15.6 blah blah blah) with the Celeron NT820. The reason we bought her it is because she dropped her MacBook Pro, shattering the screen and killing the hard drive, and only wants another Mac.
You can tell she's a Mac fanboy.
So, we're taking it back to Best Buy tomorrow.
But thanks anyway guys!

Then she needs to stop being an entitled, spoiled child, your parents need to hold their ground and actually be parents by not giving in, and she needs to learn to deal with it, because that is life.
Look at what a complete sod she is being, being fortunate enough to have parents who can actually buy another computer after she herself destroyed her old one and she complains about it? For most people, that would be it. They would not get another computer for another couple years, if they ever get another one at all.
Tell her to grow up.
Although she isn't all to blame here either, your parents need to start being proper parents unless they want their kids to grow up to be entitled, selfish pricks.

If you lived in my house, you'd know my parents due everything they can - but it doesn't change my sister. (She takes meds but they don't help much.) We bought her a new one because she needed it for school, but now we are taking it back and she's on her own.
Having the drive to work towards something is a valuable skill to have. Many of the people on this forum and in the PC community in general have all saved up towards a new machine or upgrade.
Being on medications isn't a valid excuse to not be able to earn something.

I know that. My sister has very bad ADD and ADHD - I'm not going to through this on a public Internet forum. The point is, my sister is a lunatic who expects the world to revolve around her and expects that she gets everything she wants. My mom (a single parent) does everything she can.

That is not someone with ADD/ADHD, that is a spoiled child.
Buying a computer for my sister.
So, not Poptropica or Neopets?
(I really don't know why my sister, a 16 year old, plays those games but eh .-.)
Why would you even ask about that stuff? You could do that with a Pentium 100.
At least 86% of what I say is always correct.

No, I said a Pentium 100 (stands for 100MHz) can do word processing, Excel, and PowerPoint presentations.
I also said the Intel Celeron could do all the tasks he listed. How did you get "the Intel Celeron do that" out of what I said?

I feel that the iGPU would struggle even it is just a flash/javascript game.
Pretty sure it'll be fine. So then why even mention it? You are comparing a lawnmower to an F18.
