So, I finally got a job. Now I want to build my dream computer, and just want a double check or so to make sure I'm all ready to set. And before you go on and say things are missing... I already have a hard drive that works just fine and a CD drive as well. So no worries, it will be a complete build yo.
You have a great motherboard for overclocking but you buy a factory overclocked 8320 and no CPU cooler despite being able to afford all these other crappy parts. Wut.
There is absolutely no point in a 7990 unless you're doing 5 screens. For 1080p either a 7870 or 7950 would work nicely, the 7970 or 780 if you have more cash decimate both 1440p and 5760x1080.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. Although the case is expensive, it's essentially a larger model of my current case, and contains plenty of room for further expansion. I do enjoy the cases you've listed though.
As for the PSU, I've changed it since this list, and although it's more than enough wattage, again, it leaves me with room to upgrade or crossfire. LINK
By the way, you're more than welcome to suggest a CPU cooler for that 8350. Forgive me please, I'm still new to that area of building, as this is why I've made the post in the first place.
And I most certainly do plan to have 5 screens. 3 minimum. I have two at the moment, and I see you have a 7870 as well as me. But at the moment, with two monitors, it just isn't quite cutting it for me. I'm not sure if you're aware but, the 7990 has received a 300 dollar price drop, so it's well worth the money now. It will last me for years, and I get the most bang for my buck.
But this thread was not entirely meant to be given suggestions, my question was; Is it compatible? Will everything boot up once properly installed?

7990 still has frame pacing issues and is worse then double 7970s for cooling, so still not remotely a good deal
That's mainly up to you to ensure it's all plugged in correctly. The parts are compatible together.
AND HOLY THE 7990 IS ONLY $650.
Though, I'd say wait until the 9xxx series comes out, and look for a 9970.
I most likely will, if the 7990 doesn't satisfy me. (WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT RIGHT?) But either way, it's a wonderful card, and I will be buying the parts most likely by the week. I'll try and save the GPU for the last piece, which I feel is an ideal action. If it's out by then, I'll most likely buy it.

There are far better options though.

Just go single GPU and get a 750w at the max.

I don't have a 7870. I have a 7950 (somewhat).

It has a ton of issues though.

Thank you very much, looks like a wonderful CPU cooler.

I apologize, your signature displays otherwise. Also, what exactly do you mean by 'somewhat'?
It has a ton of issues though.
I've done my fair amount of research, and so far it appears to be ideal. I also stated earlier that I was going to look into the 9 series instead.
Yes, it's still a bad build though.
I'm sorry, but that's just your opinion, it would definitely be an upgrade from my current PC, which has way lower specs and definitely isn't a "bad build". That claim is a little harsh for such great components. This is a very high-end PC build, and would/has already impressed many of my gaming friends.
Phantom 630, FT02, 500R, Arc Midi, possibly the 600T...
I apologize, your signature displays otherwise.
No it doesn't. I have a 7870 XT, which is based off the Tahiti GPU as opposed to Pitcairn. It's more or less a slightly toned down 256-bit 2 GB 7950.
I've done my fair amount of research, and so far it appears to be ideal. I also stated earlier that I was going to look into the 9 series instead.
Judging from your component choices I'd disagree with that.

"bad build" =/= low-end build
I never said it wasn't high end. Most of the components were poorly chosen though.
I've seen people insult me when I try to tell them that they are wrong, such as "Macs aren't good".

Just wondering, but what are your current system specs?
AMD FX 4100 @ 3.6 Ghz CPU
Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2 Mobo
AMD Performance Edition RAM 8GB (2 x 4GB) 800Mhz
CoolMax ZX600 PSU
Thermaltake Commander Black ATX Mid Tower Case
Gigabyte 7870 2GB DDR5 GPU
Hitachi HDs721010DLE SCSI Disk Device 1TB
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Couple of things however, this power supply is more than sufficient and is significantly cheaper. There's no point in getting anything that's higher wattage, same with quality once you reach a certain point. Secondly if you do go with the HD7xxx series, dual HD7970's would be a better option as it's cheaper and has better cooling, despite offering similar, if not better performance.
Thank you, I indeed have decided to stick with 750w instead because 1000w is not necessary. I'll most likely never need that amount of power. As for the GPU concern, I still haven't fully decided what GPU I want just yet, every paycheck will be dedicated towards one component on this build. The graphics card will be saved for last so I can watch price drops and new releases.
It'll be a lot better just to wait until you have the money and purchase it then. Hardware changes too frequently so it's never really worth buying in advance. This isn't just with new units and such, but prices also tend to fluctuate significantly.
That is exactly my plan, I'm definitely on the same boat with you this time around. I appreciate your concerns.
Cooler Master HAF Full Tower

Gigabyte AMD 990FX Motherboard
AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz CPU

Thanks in advance people.
I dunno about the PSU, but Thermaltake is kinda an iffy brand for them, so try to get a Seasonic or Super Flower built unit instead.
Overkill, overpriced memory, get this instead.

Maybe so, all is not set in stone just yet. As BKrenz mentioned, the 9 series should be out sometime soon. I'll be looking at that.

Ah I see now, sorry for my misunderstanding.
I appreciate your honesty, I'll look into more suitable options and I'll try and keep you updated.
