Ive finally finished my semi-modern PC for only $1000.
2600K @ 4.5GHz
8GB RAM 1600mhz
GTX 560 TI Twin Frozr
HAF X case
OCz 750W modular power supply
2TB storage w/ 120GB Boot SSD
H100 Water cooling
Looks good to me. With a bit of effort though you should be able to pass that CPU power cable behind the motherboard tray. It's quite an eyesore snaking over everything like that.

Nobody's perfect, so neither is Hannah Montana Linux, but it's pretty great.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.
Why the 2600k? Unless you are doing heavy video editing it's unneeded.
Should of gotten a 560 ti 448 instead, good cooler though.
The power supply can supply far more than that system will ever use, a 500w would of been more suitable.
Closed circuit water coolers aren't really that good.
again who knows, i might go with a dual gpu later on. on my h100 i get around 28C at idle... i dont think air can match that.
+ h100 is really silent.
This is with air cooling with a slightly older chip that should give a little more heat or around the same.
Normally it idles lower but I need to clean it out.

9/10
Great build, Though you could have gotten a better graphics card for the same price
Like a GTX 570 or a Radeon 7850 and maybe even the GTX 480
Other than that its pretty nice
I don't have a 2600K, but I do have a 3570K overclocked to 4.4 GHz, which I'd guess would generate a bit more heat than a 2600K at stock speed. As you see, the temperature difference is minimal. (I'm using air cooling; a Hyper 212 Evo, with a single fan).
Add to that the fact that the Hyper 212 Evo is a whole lot cheaper, and you could have gotten a slightly better graphics card, but that doesn't matter a whole lot.
The H100 is subjective, so stop saying "DU H IT WASNT WORTH IT UN00B COULDVE GOT 10 DOLAR AIR COOLER".
Some people, incluiding me and probably the OP, don't like having a massive metal bulk on the middle of the mobo. I don't like that it leaves all the hot air inside either. H100 looks cleaner and exhausts the hot air through the top perfectly.
So for me it is worth it. Period. It depends on the person, we got it that you think it isn't worth it, but the OP said it is for him, so stop trying to convince him, it is his opinion and his computer; on your computer do what you want, if you want to have a heavy metal block inside it then go ahead, but he doesn't want to, so cut it out.

It also uses NZXT Sleeved LED kit, and 4 red LED fans for a push pull config on the h100.

So, 7.5/10
9/10. Really nice build, 10/10 if you had GTX 680 or better.
Nope. For $100, it's a pretty bad deal.
But, OP, your finished build is pretty slick, except for the 8pin CPU connector.

test that on 2600k then we will see...

It's an A70, two fans.

It's fine but just the attitude of forcing him to believe it wasn't worth it gets on my nerves
