Pretty much, however you would want to run off just one for the most part.
Yeah, but I still might upgrade this fall when I have a good chunk of change. I am sick of having stuff that can just run minecraft and not even that well.

Then buy a higher watt PSU now, then you don't have to upgrade later and waste money,
It all depends on the quality of the PSU really. The standard 560Ti/2500k setup could easily run on a 450-500w PSU, it's just safe to go over and not cut it too terribly close.
This was a Corsair CX430, so reasonably good quality.
I prefer some wriggle room with a PSU anyway.
The CXs are middle range so definitely pretty good quality there.
Wiggle room is pretty much needed nowadays, you could run into the "my GPU never went to 100% I'm fine on 400w" and then later... "my GPU went to 100% and it's choking wtf!?" because GPUs tend to vary a bit (not a ton but enough to make a difference) on how much power they use at any given load. CPUs as well.
Kinda need to get as close to the safe zone as possible since I need to keep it under $500.
Here is my build if you need to take a look.
APUs don't use that much power.
Okay sweet, I'll just put a 450 then.
300-400 would be fine. If you want to upgrade in the future get a 500-650 watt PSU.

Ehh, I don't really plan on upgrading until this fall maybe and that will be a complete overhaul anyway since this is just to get me off my laptop.
That PSU is great 80+ certified and nice.
If you get a mid-low end GPU later on as an upgrade you wouldn't need to replace the PSU either.
Like if I throw in a 6670 and put it in hybrid mode?
Or a 6790?

so 500?
The best card you can get with a 500w PSU would be either a 6870 or 460, so yes.

Plus PSUs are most efficient at 60% and 80% load.

Here is the build I might go with.
Thanks, hopefully going to get it around my birthday. With my money of course ^.^ and I'm getting a car for my b-day. :biggrin.gif:
If you are referring to the PSU wattage I have it sorted out.
