So i had a spyware , i scanned and deleted it was all fine , then i try and open google chrome BAM it cant open , i cant open internet explorer or firefox, how do i fix this .. but some how i managed to open firefox by clicking "Look for programs in the internet" and i looked and found a computer error ,.exe fixing program but its an exe file so i cant run it , can any one help please? Second, boot into safe mode (restart and hold down F8 as it's booting, select safe mode with networking) and install Malwarebytes (free version). Do a full scan and remove it.
Then download CCleaner, scan and clean the registry. Keep scanning the registry and fixing errors until it no longer comes up with anything.
Restart and it should be fine.
You should also (once this is done and you are restarted) uninstall whatever terrible antivirus you have and install Microsoft Security Essentials. Set it to scan once a week. You should also run a monthly scan with Malwarebytes (free version).
