My computer is pretty good actually, so it's not a dinosaur or something. But whenever I'm on my main computer (I'm on my laptop now) whenever I click an icon on my desktop, my whole computer freezes. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

You cannot build a "wall" for yourself, only for others.
Grrr. This just started not long ago as well. I made a new folder on my desktop, and was typing in a name for the folder, and then I messed up so I right clicked it and pressed 'rename' and ever since then my computer doesn't work.
If it helps to know, when I boot up the computer now, the command prompt pops up real quick and I believe it has something about application data in it.

Sounds like a virus; a lot of them nestle themselves in application data.
Are you able to scan your PC for crapware?

1. Click the Start button
2. Click Run
3. Type in "cmd" without the "s and click OK
4. Type in "chkdsk c: /f" without the "s and press enter
This program fixes any errors that it sees on your C: drive.
You might also have to restart your computer after doing this, just so you know. Once again, not sure if this will fix it, but it doesn't hurt to try.
I managed to type it all in before it froze up, but then it just froze as well......
