The title explains basically all of it.
I would be playing games like Minecraft, Gmod, Counterstrike, Killing Floor, Civ 5, Fallout: New Vegas, and more.
Also, could it play ARMA II and Battlefield 3 well, (Medium-Very High Graphics)?
Some things we need too know are do you already have a Monitor, mouse/keyboard and Os.
From there we can make a build from you :smile.gif: if _J03_ doesn't reply soon i will do it :smile.gif:

That build needs a couple of changes. For the PSU, get a PC Power and Cooling Silencer 760W. ASUS mobos are overpriced. For the same features and a better price get a ASRock P67 Extreme4. For the CPU cooler get the coolermaster hyper 212 plus from amazon, its cheaper there anyway. For the HDD get a samsung F3 spinpoint. The monitor should be IPS with that budget. Get a NEC EA231wmi if possible. If its out of stock on newegg, get it from amazon.
I'm building a computer for 1500. Core i7 2600K, GTX 570, Asrock P67 extreme b3 (something like that) mobo, 8 GB RAM (don't hate) for the major stuff. W/ monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers it all totals out to a few 10s over 1500. But then there's the OS and taxes, but I'll worry about that later. Just buy it all at once, or at least buy the major stuff last, since new stuff comes out fast. But you can probably buy the minor one at a time.

I've heard nothing but bad things about PC Power and Cooling Silencer. So I advise you to get the hell away from them.
Why are you recommending that power supply to everyone? There are much better and even cheaper power supplies available. And 760W power supply is totally pointless for that kind of rig, he would be ok even with 500-600W power supply.
And Asus mobo's are not overpriced, they're called quality motherboards for reason. They have very few flaws, unlike cheap ASrock mobo's.
Coolermaster hyper 212 is ok cooler, but not enough for 2500k. You might get it to go near 4Ghz with it when it's real potential is 4,5Ghz to over 5Ghz.
Samsung spinpoint F3's aren't that good anymore. Well, they give you a lot of space cheaply, but I would really go with smaller sata III hard drive. You can get caviar black 750Gb hard drive with the price of that spinpoint and it's a hell of a lot better than the spinpoint.
In one of my posts I asked about a build I came up with and he recommended the hyper 212 for me as well for a build with a 2500k. You say it's not good enough so could you suggest a better one for me and the OP?

Nobody's perfect, so neither is Hannah Montana Linux, but it's pretty great.

They all suck. They just suck differently. Sort of like prostitutes.

For the PSU, grab the SeaSonic S12D 850W from SuperBiiz.com. It's the same price as the Silencer 760W (though no rebate), but it's essentially the same unit but with an extra 100W. It's a very high-quality unit and that price is OUTSTANDING
There is no problem with that PSU. Don't see why you care. I know he would be okay with a smaller power supply, but he has a budget to buy a big enough power supply for future upgrades now.
The ASRock mobos has all the same features as the ASUS for about 20 dollars less. What flaws do you speak of, hm?
The Hyper 212 plus can get a CPU up to 4.4 to 4.6Ghz. What would you recommend?
You aren't going to see an ultimately fantastical difference between a SATA 3 and a SATA 2 hard drive. I don't know which caviar black you are talking about, and can't really look it up, but if it's cheaper than the spin point and has a remarkable speed difference, that's fine with me.

If you want a better mouse/keyboard then use $100 of that $150 and get the Razer arctosa keyboard and the Razer deathadder mouse :smile.gif:

Razer keyboards aren't that great. Mouses are okay. All depends on the grip. -pinch, -palm, or -claw?
Thinking about coming a mod to simply not moderate.

Weird, I have only heard good things. I have a few people that tell me it worked great in their systems.

overclock3d.net, just to mention one, has stated that they have a lot of components who tend to fail quite easily.

computersoc.com recommends that one highly. That PSU also has pretty good ratings on Newegg.
