So I was working on this really cool resource pack a while ago, but bad progress nonwithstanding, I think I found something much better... I'm probably gonna never release another custom Minecraft map.Until we meet again...
Well that is a thing that has irked me for a while now specially since i have not been able to produce a hypothesis that satisfies myself.
And after seeing the coronation thing i realized that they might be releasing a new playset each season finale. So there is the "wedding set" and there will probably be a "coronation set". Smaller seasons means more finales for the same number of episodes and each one will have a new playset along with good publicity to sell it. But at the end there will be a "coronation set" a "Royal ball set", a "graduation set" a "lego set" a "royal banquete set" a "soup set" and more silly stuff. this is supported by the fact Hasbro is indeed intending to "grow girls business"
Finally a theory that makes sense!
First of all i assume we will have a new princess. Something like Cadance 2.0 and "coincidentally" her coronation will take place more less at the same time as some Twilight's test so she can move onto her studies or some other similar thing. She cast this weird spell that changes destinies, either by accident or she is tricked into it, and shifts everyone destinies (which will sure be exploitable for some nice jokes) turning her into and alicorn (temporaly, i hope) and the new filler character into a simple unicorn.
We are left into a cliffhanger as they realize that the counter spell has never been invented and she has to make it somehow.
And an image i found. It comes with a minific:
Quote from I have no idea who »
From on high, the gods make sport of the mortals who toil below them. None know the cruelty of these beings better than Twilight Sparkle, a beautiful magician who was torn away from her friends by the gods’ divine hands. Granted immortality, Twilight Sparkle now whiles away her days in an inescapable miniature garden for the amusement of the gods, particularly Celestia. But the gods themselves are no strangers to the boredom of eternal life, and as Twilight Sparkle quickly discovers, they will do anything to keep themselves entertained, both at her expense and at one another’s.

Does anyone else get the feeling that Magical Mystery Cure might be the episode in which the CMC finally get their marks? Note that there hasn't been one cutie-mark-related episode so far that didn't involve them in some way.
Hmm... possibly, but probably not unless it's SUPER shoehorned in. I wouldn't put it past anybody, but it doesn't seem to make sense.

And the traditional explanation doesn't? The show has a large lineup already and now it's money-saving time. When you can show 65 reruns over and over, you're doing good for yourself. They have a decent lineup, time to call it in and rely on shorter bursts of episodes. This STILL is kids tv and kids will watch anything over and over and over, and the short bursts are just added candy for them... and us. Makes them even MORE likely to mindlessly buy more toys.
And that's actually the OFFICIAL explanation. People working there says that that is why.
First of all i assume we will have a new princess. Umm...
Besides your little theory beforehand, WHY? They aren't making it a big event this time, so why would there BE something extravagant? They would be blowing trumpets around this time now to get kids to buy their toys. It seems like just another mane cast episode to round out the season. Maybe cliffhanger, might not be.

Lacking the capacity to watch it on Youtube due to being grounded, I'll have to hope that we're not going to church tomorrow morning and watch it then. I already have it autotuned.
Or maybe I'll just not watch it. It's a Spike episode.

Makes sense. But there's also the fact that 65 episodes = three months of once-a-weekday showings = four full rounds of the series in a year. Lotsa shows end there because it's very easy to schedule.

Maybe Princess Skyla? And considering the resemblance, maybe it's the daughter that Cadence finally convinced Shiny to have? Yeah, there's been no preggers Cadence so far, but hey, there was no preggers Mrs. Cake, either.
Hmm... possibly, but probably not unless it's SUPER shoehorned in. I wouldn't put it past anybody, but it doesn't seem to make sense.

I really liked this one. Great animation, the return of Tank, and of Pipsqueak Peewee, (That was the phoenix's name, right?) some great humor. Just really great all around.
I actually like Spike being portrayed as a bit manipulative. He may be a good dragon, but he's still a dragon.
And did anyone else notice the Rainbow Dash balloon animal in the CMC clubhouse?
Thoughts: This... was interesting. Plot: I've rewritten this part of my review three times and it all boils down to me making jokes and having nothing productive to say about this stock plot. That doesn't make for a good review, and if you read that My Little Sister riff I did you know how pathetic my sense of humor is. I'll spare you and say that this plot is designed to showcase comedy and characters, two things MLP does passably and well at respectively. One thing to note, though: How the hell will next weeks' episode work in ONE AFTERNOON?
Characters: Let's start with Angel, as he's the easiest to tackle. WHAT A *****. The little ball of brimstone's name long ceased being funny, but they just might as well have put a "what a d-bag" sign on his neck the entire episode. In fact, if Spike had just said "screw it" and let Angel hop on Fluttershy he could go running up with everything else and pretend like it was all Angel's fault and never his. NOPONY WOULDN'T BELIEVE HIM. There is NO idiot ball that being hit with makes you THAT stupid. There would have been NO problem (Besides having to explain the CMC being with him, and they might fight being framed.)
Is it just me or did the writers take some "writing kids" classes? Because they have gotten MUCH better this season with the CMC. I know I didn't like Sleepless or Babs Seed (A hasty judgement. The song is even a guilty pleasure of mine by now. I'd put it on my top 10 best MLP songs. Then again, that isn't a high honor. Only top 5 really matter.) And I know I liked last season's CMC episodes (Bar H&H) but the overall writing of the kids seems to have gotten better. And this marks the first time I've legitimately enjoyed them just being around, just because they are acting like kids but aren't so mind-numbingly stupid that I hate them. Bravo.
Next, Spike. Okay, you see? It isn't impossible to write Spike with a problem to face. Zecora said it herself dragon greed is bad mojo. (Side note: Since when does Zecora talk of mojo?) And so a very clever idea spirals into HILARIOUS antics while Spike does what he actually probably would do. He's got what he wants, so he looks for a way to do what he needs to in the simplest form possible all while acting over-the-top and dramatic. And if you like that or not is another issue entirely.
Moral: Focusing on what you want and not the responsibility that comes with it puts you back where you started and you through a lot of pain. Good enoughish.
Humor: I laughed a couple of times. That's a good sign. Spike acting over-the-top and Tank/RD does provide a few chuckling moments in particular. (By the way, Twilight is no longer tied. RD takes third best pony with grace. A season does a lot to you.) And really this is supposed to be a funny episode with the plucky comic relief. And if you enjoyed the episode or not hinges on if you like this brand of comedy.
Visuals: It's season 3 quality animation, and nothing new was really added. So it's good.
Other: This bugs me. Rarity literally can FIND gems, yet they're apparently worth a LOT of money. Any one of her dresses could CRASH the economy by the looks of them and the size of that hair-dryer. Yeesh.
Final Thoughts: Okay, all that was way too positive. But the thing is all that positive was really regardless stuff. Sure, the characters were good but the story wasn't that impressive nor have any "Wow" moments like Wonderbolts Academy. It wasn't that impressive, but you know what, for a short filler episode designed to be just plain funny, it works. It works well. I say it was 21 minutes well-spent.
Rating: 7 (Better than most.)

Fisrt My thoughts on todays episode. Which is the last i will watch before i go back to college...
Actually I enjoyed it a lot. I chuckled a lot during this episode. Poor Spike he has some bad luck. Well it is not anything he did not brought up to himself.
I like how Spike's dragon nature shows itself from time to time but still i do not agree with the overly western representation of Dragon. Again just a matter of tastes.
The plot was a bit predictable but not ocmplaining about it. Besides the CMC arc and the train arc were fresh and unexpected to me.
Also i liked how Spke was not caught in the end while still realizing of his wrongdoings. The alternative would have led to a cliched scene were Spike is lectured for his misbehaviour which is boring and overused.
The moral was good. there is actually a saying for that in my country. Let me say if i can translate it properly:
The lazy and the mean walks the same road twice.
If Spike would have decided to take care of the pets and/or realize he was chewing more than he could bite instead of ignoring them and greedely collecting his "payment" he would have been able to keep his jewels.
Finally it is fun to see a bit of more of Spike personality. And curiously enough there was some character biutl on the pets. That is unusual but i appreciate it.
i would like to say more about it. But sadly i am struggling to order my ideas right now. So i will simply leave a grade. Might comment further on it later.
300/360
Very good humor, fresh and creative use of a common plot type, nice morale.

As far as i know that Thorpe is american. And i lack the context needed to understand the "why" behind it.
And I do think they may use that toy for a character for the season finale. Or maybe not since it is just a "recolor" of the Pinkie Pie mutated horse fetus So Soft toy.

"Sounds like [day of the week]" implies that something happens very very often. In that ancient religions believed their gods to be unspeakably cruel (including the Christian God of the Old Testament). There were some really messed up myths.
As for the eyes, he may or may not be referring to a specific story in which the mortal lost his/her eyes. If he is, I don't know it.
As far as i know that Thorpe is American. And I lack the context needed to understand the "why" behind it.
... Thorpe?
And yes, it's American. But despite being produced in Canada, FiM is an American program and works on the same rules.
Also, if we have 65 episodes, and we have 5 weekdays in a week, then we can play one episode a weekday for (65 ÷ 5 =) 13 weeks. 13 weeks ≈ 3 months. ∴ a 65-episode series can be aired from start to finish in 3 months, ∴ it can be played 4 times a year.
It's fine. Being a ghost isn't all that bad, and it was certainly worth it to see that image (the top of which is now my desktop background, btw. Yeah it's pixelly, big whoop, wanna fight about it?).
As for when a guess was correct: Spike at your Service, to name one. I'm pretty sure I saw an accurate prediction for Best Night Ever, too. There have been several episodes that were rather easy to guess, and it's usually just the finales and premieres that throw us off.
I rather like it. She should adopt this style in canon at some point.

Let me answer your first question with another one: Was there an official explanation? I thought it was simply announced that this season would be 13 episodes long and left it like that.
Pardon me, I got my facts a little off. this isn't the reason for MLP, it's the reason for every show Hasbro makes:
Quote from Brian Goldner, Hasbro »
"Yeah, yeah the cash spend you really have to do when you have a successful TV Series… In fact Hasbro Studios TV Shows has outperformed other TV Shows on the Hub by 74% rating with 4 of the Top 10 shows on the network right now. So as you look at great performance of TV Shows, you are able to produce fewer episodes in subsequent series than you need for earlier series. You know, kids love watching episodes over and over again but you have to add an element of newness but you don’t need to spend to produce entire new series again. You can add 13 episodes or a 26 episodes to a pool of 52 already produced Episodes. So therefore you are able to… with a success TV Series… produce fewer in a year. Overall, Hasbro Studios has greenlit over 800 half-hours of programming. We also still have several hundreds of half-hour programming that we are producing for the network and also looking at whether there are successful tv series we obviously then spend less per new series because we are able to produce newer shows."

It is supposed to read. "What reasons are there?" Because most theories should have some backing unless you want to be questioned. And then you pointed out the princess coronation thing.
I suddenly DESPERATELY hope your theory is true. All aboard the new random character train! Cadence 2.0 has never and will never sound as good ever again! Choo choo!
And no, your post did not upset me, I always sound like this.

It's a joke. It refers to the frequent and pointless cruelty of gods in ancient civilizations. The eyes thing is more of a common occurrence. They normally lose something about them in this torture, and I just picked the eyes.

Very good humor, fresh and creative use of a common plot type, nice morale.
Let me answer your first question with another one: Was there an official explanation? I thought it was simply announced that this season would be 13 episodes long and left it like that.
In your second point:
I lost you at this point:
If what you mean is why i am posting it, this is why:
For Fun!
If what you mean is why i think that read the folowing:
I would like to say that I have this reason and this other one to support what i just say. But sadly it is just a guess. But still my money is on that explanation. However i do think we will have a cliffhanger so the finale of a season will be the starting episode of the next season simply to save money in the production.
by the way:
By the way am i imagining things or did my post upset you in some way?
Also i did not get what you mean by the Tuesday thing. Or the eyes comment for the matter.
As far as i know that Thorpe is american. And i lack the context needed to understand the "why" behind it.
And I do think they may use that toy for a character for the season finale. Or maybe not since it is just a "recolor" of the Pinkie Pie
mutated horse fetusSo Soft toy.And i apologise for your death by epicness.

Oh, I thought he had said 3. Someone told me that 3 was out.
If he is, I don't know it.
She should adopt this style in canon at some point.

anywho,
D'aw, filly twilght. I don't know what it is about the art style, but I think it makes filly twilight cuter, imo
Pardon me, I got my facts a little off. this isn't the reason for MLP, it's the reason for every show Hasbro makes:
I suddenly DESPERATELY hope your theory is true. All aboard the new random character train! Cadence 2.0 has never and will never sound as good ever again! Choo choo!
And no, your post did not upset me, I always sound like this.
It's a joke. It refers to the frequent and pointless cruelty of gods in ancient civilizations. The eyes thing is more of a common occurrence. They normally lose something about them in this torture, and I just picked the eyes.
I'm no longer active here since no one else seems to be.
IT
ALL I SLEPT IN AGAIN.
I didn't leave my blinds open. I told myself, I said, "You should leave your blinds open. That way the sun will wake you up early." But I didn't listen! My blinds were closed and I slept in again. Damn it all.
I'll sneak onto the computer to watch it tomorrow. Maybe even today. Who knows? Life's an adventure.
So, I went to a dollar store today and saw a big display stand full of trading cards of all kinds. Of course, I immediately looked through them to see if there were any ponies... and lo, I found them. Many packs of them, in fact--and I deeply, truly considered buying one, but since my dad was there I decided against it. Alas.
Clickety clack down the track! It's lots and lots of Tavi! One of the greatest Octavia imagedumps I've ever offered! We've got fast Tavi, sloooow Tavi, steamin' Tavi! Even Tavi shipped with Scratch!
I think that, proportionately, there's too much OctaScratch in this fandom and not enough Tavi in her own right. Plus, Tavi with anyone else is very hard to come by.
Ah well, I suppose it doesn't matter; I have come to like Vinyl some on her own. Plus, how often have you seen Lyra or Bonbon shipped with anyone but each other?

Ah, thank you, kind sir. I must have missed it. I was gone for three days and skimmed the posts I missed.
Edit: Aaaand I finished it. That one was great too. Better, in fact. Can't wait to see more.
