Hey guys, I was just wondering if my PC could run Skyrim on Medium Graphics. I have been on System Req Lab and on my Video Card isnt Recommended. If i can only run on Low thats fine but, if so i was wondering if run on low is there a black border around the game screen like you see when watching a movie.
Thanks,

No, it won't. The black border is from your monitor's resolution. If you have a black border, it's simple to fix. Either get a new monitor that supports 720/1080p or change the resolution. That usually fix the problem.
Can you list your specs? It could help to know if it would run well or not.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
4GB Ram
Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon 5470 (1GB)
NOTE: This is on a Sony Vaio: E Series VPCEB35FG

Okay thanks. So if i have it on low will it not have the black border? My laptop screen res is 1336x768.
No, you won't. My monitor is 1336x768 as well.(Due to me being blind and not getting a 1080p monitor) I play on 1336x768 and it runs fine without any borders. The black border is usually on the movies itself.

Probably not on medium settings, but low should run fine. Your CPU is quite weak.
But it doesn't hurt to try, you won't kill your laptop if you set to high settings for testing purposes.
