I feel the urge to play some old games. I have an N64 and a Gameboy Advanced emulator on my computer, I'm sure I can get other ones. Maybe my computer can handle Gamecube/DS, but I'm not sure, and those aren't really old.
Right now all I have on my computer is:
Harvest Moon 64
Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town
Fighting Force 64
Mace the Dark Ages
Starfox
Super Smash Bros
As far as I know, it's completely legal to have these roms/emulators as long as you own the game itself, and I own all of those games. So some of these I may not play if I don't own them. Unless this is already illegal, then I might as well, haha.
EDIT: Just incase someone misunderstands, suggest games to me, don't pick from the list.

Incorret. It's not legal to have the rom even if you own the game :[
Nintendo posted some article explaining it all.
Emulators are legal to have though.

Really? Well let's just pretend I'm not going to play these on an emulator...... :wink.gif:

It is actually legal, there's nothing they can do about it if you own a copy of the same version of the game, any article they posted was nothing more than to try to deter pirating.
That's in America anyways, if you don't believe me feel free to look it up.

I'm not law enforcement, so I personally don't care.
Honestly though, play FF6 aka FF III on the SNES.
It's a darn good game.
Castlevania and Metroid are good too.
If you haven't played Earthbound, I suggest you give that a whirl also.

It's legal to have the rom if you directly rip the game from the cartridge yourself.
You cannot legally download and distribute the rom file :|
You can however legally have the game on your computer for 24 hours.

Oh I forgot about the final fantasy games! I'll get.. not sure what ones I have but there's one of them that I had that I loved. And I've never played Castlevania or Earthbound but I've considered them, and I may get metroid although I was never a huge fan of that game.

4 and 6 are the best Final Fantasy games in my opinion.
Earthbound is just an excellent rpg.
Castlevania 1,3 and Symphony of the Night are amazing.
Super Metroid is super fun also, it's more forgiving than the first Metroid for the NES.

As I recall we weren't talking about downloading them. :wink.gif:
Anyways Earthbound (Mother 2) is a great game, so is Mother 3, though with Mother 3 you have to download the fan translation, as it was never officially released in NA.
If you're into the whole emulator/rom thing I'd suggest Megaman for the NES.
Ahhh megaman.. I'll consider that, I had some good times with that. In fact, when I'm bored in class, on occasions I draw that balding ass face from that game on my papers... haha. And the only reason I use an emulator is because I want to make a series of some older games, but I don't have a capture card so I need to use the computer. I hooked it up so I can use an xbox controller with it so its basically like playing N64/Gameboy/NES with an xbox controller, its really nice.
