I guess that idea was pretty uncreative, so I suppose he's just another one for the scrap heap.
Maybe I'll make another character sometime soon. In the meantime, back to the drawing board. Man, my head hurts...

Hey guys, I don't know if anyone is interested in this, but http://www.springhole.net is a very useful site for writers and roleplayers alike. Now I'm not pointing any fingers here, but I think some people could improve, and actually what am I saying, all of us can improve. I know for sure I need to. But springhole is a great resource I've started using recently and I thought I'd share it. So I am. Woo.
Also just a question; is the tournament today or tomorrow IC?
I was under the impression that it wouldn't be right away, but I could be wrong. That's really more of a Matt question. Also the kind of thing that needs to be known by the Council.
Ugh, I want to post but feel it would just be a sticker post if I did. Is Morgan's team organized, can we get together?
Also just a question; is the tournament today or tomorrow IC?
Morgan's team still needs a Mental, and the tourny is in about a month. The time would be spent finalizing details with teams, getting to know them, and training. A little before a final roster would go out listing the official teams, as well as listings of all the other teams publicly.
I don't know how I'd live without random generators. I use them to roll up NPCs all the time.
Speaking of NPCs, this being directed more at Matt, but at everyone as well, I can roll up some if necessary to enter in the tourney to round out some teams. Especially Team Potatopower. I could also use some practice in playing characters different than my typical older teen/young adult white female. Even though Silvira is technically hispanic but she's a shapeshifter so she doesn't count(I plan to have her change from white to her "original" skin tone soon though)
In a month from now the tournament will begin. In a week, Gametypes will released. A week before the tournament begins, the matchups and team rosters will be publicly posted. It is pretty much expected that teams will train specifically to gain an advantage over the opposing team.
In the mean time, teams are expected to get to know their teammates and practice working together. Factions facilities are available to all during this time.
Name: Athena Valnasa
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Gift: She has the ability to manipulate magma, and can turn her body composition into magma. She is also completely immune to extreme heat.
Weaknesses and Limits: As to be expected, water weakens her power quite a bit.
Appearance: She has brown eyes, and she is about 5-foot-9 in height. She has an average frame, and auburn hair that's fashioned into a braided ponytail.
Personality: She's rather stern, easy to anger, and evil. She mainly gets what she wants through extortion and/or torture, and isn't afraid to commit arson when the need arises.
History: She has known of the ETG since she was seven, mainly because her parents were in it. She looked up to her parents because they, in her seven-year-old mind, 'got the bad guys'.
A year later, she discovered her power after getting angry and burning down their house. Even if she burned down their house, her parents were proud of her - she would make a great agent for the ETG. She followed their example up to the day they died. When she was 14.
When they did die, it was later reported that they were killed by a rogue gifted that went on a killing spree, killing countless innocent people. She nearly lost it. That one gifted was more than enough for her to develop a vendetta against ALL gifted, excluding those of the ETG. She joined the ETG as soon as possible, and never looked back.
For her, they developed a special heat-proof suit that could withstand magma. They trained her and made her a practical killing machine, ready, willing and able to destroy those that stood in their way.
When she heard that she was being deployed to a continent filled with gifted, she was... giddy. Ecstatic, even - she would finally be able to destroy the 'evil' gifted... en masse.
Equipment: Standard ETG equipment, along with a suit that could withstand the incredible temperature of lava. The interior was made of a rubber-like material, but that was covered in a light, chitin-like shell that covered the rest of her body.

I vote it accepted.
What, are we going to go with 3 or 4 votes to get something accepted?
Uhh this is totally up to you but
What are you going to do with her? We already have far far too many ETG running around within Brinkhaven, so I'd really prefer it if you didn't bring her into the city.
She'll probably be more-or-less idle, for now. I just wanted to make her so that I didn't forget her. She'll probably engage in some activity of some sort in her idle time, but she'll be more-or-less idle. Until later.
Also, as for the voting thing, this is still your roleplay. Unless it is universally agreed upon, including by you, than you should still always get the final say. That's my two cents, at least.

Name: Jordan
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Gift: I can control my density, allowing me to become indestructibly dense, or so fluid-y enough to escape
through the smallest of holes
Weakness: when I am afraid, I am unable to go indestructible
Appearence: my influence over my density allows me to look however I want, although I usually stay around 5'4"
with blond hair and blue eyes
Personality: joking and light hearted, but also realistic
History: Born in Texas, and was taken captive by the ETG, because both my parents were gifted, although I never knew them. I learner about my powers shortly after I landed on Derika, when they opened up the door I was so
scared I turned into the equivelent of a puddle of water.
Equipment: my clothing (can turn my limbs into weapons)
Athena sounds okay to me, Ro. I trust Matt. Although she sounds a lot like... well, just about every other ETG character in the RP. Angsty, mean, cold-hearted. I wouldn't mind seeing a light-hearted, joking ETG character. They can still be evil, but they don't have to be mean and angry about it. That probably makes no sense. Anyway!

Oooookay, to start, this app tells me basically nothing about the character.
- Does Jordan have a last name?
- He was taken captive by the ETG. How old was he, and how did he escape?
- That weakness isn't really much of a weakness. There needs to be a reason for him to not be able to liquidate, such as cold, perhaps. Fear typically doesn't make a good weakness, because you'll end up with a Gifted that never. Gets. Scared. (Deemas. No offense.) Perhaps a better weakness is that the temperature causes changes in the density of Jordan's body, so even though it's controlled by will, a hit by a fire or ice manip. will change his density without him being able to control it. Or something. My point is, fear tends to be a weakness that is easily pushed aside IC.
- You say in the Equipment section he can turn his limbs into weapons. You should elaborate on that, in the field for the Gift.
All in all, it's a pretty good start- but it needs to be fleshed out. A lot.
Fix up and flesh out those things, and you should be more or less good to go!
Also, I can stick Amber in team potatopower. They really need someone who'd be actually kinda combat-oriented. And, ya know, a bunch more people all in all. Expect to see some new NPCs rolling in, guys! I'll be rolling some up.

You might be surprised. Also, even if the writing articles aren't of use to you, the random generators surely can serve some use, right?
