Name: Geoffrey Socanhi, AKA Jeff
Age: 30
Gender: Male
Gift: He has the ability use his guitars to manipulate the feelings and behavior of others through music - for example, if he played a soft song, the people around him would start to feel more mellow and calm. If he were to play an upbeat song, those around him would start to cheer up. He also has the ability to battle using music, in case of emergency.
Weaknesses and Limits: He only knows how to play guitars - no other instrument would work, so if his guitar is missing, that'd be very bad for him.
Appearance: He stands at 6-foot-1, and he has shoulder-length red hair. He has a pretty thin build, and he also has dark brown eyes. He wears a black turtle-neck sweater, and black jeans with tears in the knees. He wears pure black tennis shoes, and a black hoodie that he intentionally leaves unzipped, and almost never wears the hood. On the back of his hood is a big white music note.
Personality: He is pretty much on the exact median between nice and mean - he isn't insensitive, but he's not exactly one to be incredibly supportive of everything you do. He can come across as somewhat cold, but once you get to know him, he opens up a bit.
History: His life wasn't too good, despite having been a very famous musician.
When he was twelve, his parents got divorced, and later his dad died of Leukemia. However, his life got noticeably more tolerable when he developed a fierce passion for music. He went to see a Skillet concert, and from that day forward decided he'd be a musician.
Come his 15th birthday, his mother bought him his very first guitar - a black, six-string guitar that had a surface that practically gleamed in the light. He later attended a singing class and also got guitar lessons that helped him chase his passion.
At 23 years old, he got his first gig, playing at a local bar in his hometown. His performances were nearly legendary, and later the local news began printing about his musical prowess, and his uncanny ability to move people so well with his music.
Years later, and he was a very famous musician, performing all over the world and at very special events sometimes. He was very good at what he did, receiving recognition from many recording enterprises and releasing several hit albums.
Eventually, he settled down in Derika after one of his tours. He does the occasional comeback tour every now-and-then, but for the most part only performs on the continent of Derika.
Equipment: His clothes, as previously stated. He always has a guitar strapped to his back, and he keeps several guitar picks with him as well.

"We must call for aid! Executor, bring out the Reavers! ... What? What do you mean we don't have reavers anymore? Then... send the Dragoons! ... Ugh, then what do you suggest? ... What's a Void Ray?!" -Tassadar, Savior of the Templar
Why is it that ever since I explained how Issac is fairly tall everyone goes and tries to make their characters just as tall or taller? It's not tall if everyone is the same height . It's just something weird I've noticed, I mean some of you have good reason but everyone else just seems to be doing it for the hell of it...
Anyways, the app looks nice but please explain what using his music in battle means. Why doesn't he need to sing in battle? Like, how does he do this?
He does this by pretty much attacking the enemy with music - music so loud that it damages their hearing, shatters glass and makes their chests pound. However, it wouldn't be loud enough to say, obliterate a concrete wall. However, he doesn't have to sing in order to attack because the music itself does all the work. Then again, I suppose it'd do the same if he were manipulating people's emotions...
Yeah, that really is a dumb weakness, isn't it? Yeah, it is... editing now.
And the only reason I made him with an above-average height is because I felt like it. I don't even know how tall Isaac is.

Okay, Robot, I moved John to Team NightRaid, which also has my character Jordan, AERO's character Jiol, and and Bobert's character Morgan. NightRaid still has a mental slot open.
You okay with John being there?
Juliet, Zoey has been move to team banana in place of Morgan, since BObert said he didn't mind wherever Morgan ended up as long as she was in the tournament.

I understand the ability to project emotions through music and song but where does the sudden ability to amplify sound come from? I'm on the fence here, could other people weigh in on that?

I mean... I don't know... I had difficulty getting a character who could manipulate memories in and had to give him a big weakness... Just doesn't even it out enough for me...
Well, I think the fact that he needs a guitar (something very easy to break, smash, set fire to, etc.) is balancing enough for me. Just the two kind of unrelated powers is what gets me.
So...now to figure out how I get two people that aren't even on the continent, back to the continent in order to join the tournament. Any ideas?
Use the space time ripple I used to restart the RP. Have it so they would have returned by now, idk. I'm not sure who you're talking about so I can't be specific.

For the first part, I agree. The battling with music sounds like it was tacked on so he could make the character powerful for the tournament. That's my opinion, though.
As for what I quoted this for, though,
:Heric was teleported to Japan inexplicably because I didn't want to have him involved in Ryik's craziness.
:Panserg left by boat because that was more reasonable than teleporting him to Japan.
Spacetime ripple sounds nice, though. For Heric, I had him teleported by a relative from Japan that isn't important in the slightest. I can simply kick the return trip in early and bring him back. Panserg, well, perhaps he's just inexplicably back.

Would you rather read a story of knights and dragons, or be in one?
I'm glad people support my dragon raising. Could I ask for assistance with this one now?
Check out my dragon scroll(http://dragcave.net/user/Heric) if you want to see the dragons I have. I may get more dragons later.
ok, im gonna try to make an effort to rejoin this rp. All I need to know is how do I get winter into the arena thing (IC) and what time of day it is (IC).

Once you picked a team you want to join, Just have Winter receive a message that contains information regarding his team, and I think the IC time is around morning time.
As for how Jeff knew about Derika, keep in mind that he's toured the world several times - and had quite a few concerts in Brinkhaven. Now for how he figured out about his gift... you have a point. Still, I have no idea how I'd be able to do that - I mean, maybe he thought he was a prodigy. Maybe he spent most of his teenage years paying off the windows he shattered. I don't know.

[sarcasm]Ya, he's about as tall as a semi trunk[/sarcasm]. I don't know how tall he is, he's just a fairly tall and kind of lanky person. It's the impression I got from the pic I found for him so I rolled with it.
Ya, like Heric said it really is just tacked on there. There's no real need to combat jackify him, not everyone needs to be in the tournament and not everyone needs to be a fighter. It's not bad to play in the passive, I do it (more so in another RP than this one) and it's still fun :).

He's toured the world, but how did he come to know of Derika in the first place to get Brinkhaven on his list of places to tour at? Derika's not exactly at the top of the lists at travel agencies and city listings.
Oh no, it's a link to an awesome flash game!
