((Nex' interaction with the 4th wall was a cute little joke. Would it not be interesting if a character became aware that he was controlling another being in his life via an RP thread? Just a thought. In which case, I don't exist to Nex. In any case, "Nex'" posts would be sparse anyway.))
(Max did speak to the fourth wall in the last thread. probably because I do the same when no one is looking. But also as a joke off old cartoons))
I tore through the last floor, and the room was packed with synths. I chuckled, and right there, I caused most of their heads to explode by instantly compressing and expanding gravity within their heads. I completely crippled the rest by causing gravity to squeeze on their brain, if not outright killing them, and give them immense stomachaches. Then, while they were in their suffering state, I simply squeezed their throat hard enough to choke and kill them. "Too easy," I said, looking around the room. There was a single door in the mostly concrete room. I opened the door, and I found what looked like an armory. Several assault rifles and sniper rifles, mostly. There were also a crap-ton of grenades of all types. Fragmentation grenades, smoke grenades, and some strange, black-and-blue grenades of some sort. I grabbed a few belts of the stuff, and I jumped the twenty or so stories I had just torn through.

The building began to shake more, causing Jack to crouch down beneath some foliage and hold his breath in expectation. Whatever was going on in there was... pretty powerful.

OnceInALongTime: "You confuse me, Mage. Amazability should be a word so I could describe your words."
Silvira stayed without complaining, watching this man- Deemas- rip apart Synths like they were made of wet paper. that's a strong power... she shifts slightly, hoping that he would remember he had a cat on his shoulders.
((please do take Silvira into account in your actions, Count_Caleb :P))
((True, I forgot about Valen. All but one of your characters are insane.))
((Caleb, the building has 3 stories and no basement. We cannot raze the building if it extends underground so far.))
Terrified out of his mind, the lone ETG soldier sprints out of the building, getting as far away as possible from the blood covered wolf-monster that slaughtered his comrades. Panting, he rests against a tree. The man hears a small noise come from a nearby tree. Upon walking closer, he sees a young boy crouching beside a tree. Wearily, the soldier approaches, preparing to knock the boy unconscious with the butt of his rifle.
((That's you, Mage.))

Clyde had looked up to see a white-haired male looking at him. The kid seemed as if he was 12 or something, sort of like Netal. "Netal isn't that tall," Clyde said to himself. "Ye-Yeah... I'm really dehydrated... I can't speak much...
((Ryik, you have a total of 25 characters OR MORE! you have more than 12 times the character limit, and half of them are crazed, demented lunatics that should've been put in a psych ward at birth.))
Deemas began flying out of the building he and the other just wrecked, being more careful due to a cat being on his shoulders. "So... how long has it been since you've eaten?" I asked Silvira.
((Sorry. I'd make a longer post, but I'm drop-dead exhausted right now.))

Yulvs start running with the machete, breaking some locks and kicking the doors the gifteds where locked in: "Fast, fast, we don't have all day. Just cover me up and watch for the reinforcements. More man are coming, and we must take'em down if you all want to GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE." But before reaching the last cell, the machete blade shatters to the ground, and he sighs: "Goddamnit, i'll need to call someone to free you here." He looks to Aaron, not so many steps away: "Do you think you can do something to free this dude up here, buddy?" -
Eddit: Yes, i am, i'm inside the place, freeing some dudes, he's covering me, just asked him to blast a door to free the last gifted.
((Question, how much people are prisioned? I'm guessing a lot of people.))
((Crow needs another star.))
((The character limit is 2, but I might allow more depending on the person.))
<Liam>
(Euchh, who the hell did all of this?) Liam thought as he entered the cell block section. A fight had clearly taken place. Puddles of blood and gore littered the floor and walls. The crumpled and mangled corpses of soldier lay in heaps. (This was probably Deemas's work. Points for being creative, but seriously, he needs to clean up his mess. This stuff stinks!) My sandals squelch as my foot sinks into an in identifiable body part. (*sigh*) I wade through the wreckage of limbs and make my way to a clear patch of floor, where I expel air thru my feet, blowing off the blood and bits of flesh. All of the cells are empty, so I walk on toward the power room, where I can hear the distinctive sound of Max's shock waves.
((Ninja'd, lets say Liam came after Aaron and Yulvs))
<Jake>
I pause outside the door to the barracks and peer through the window. Inside I see dozens of soldiers suiting up for combat, strapping on Kevlar, loading rifles. That would a tough fight, even for Jake. I survey the room, then form a plan. Pulling the pins on six grenades, I cook the explosives for 2 seconds, then teleport six times around the barracks, stopping for less than a second to drop a grenade at each spot. With six grenades spaced out evenly throughout the midst of the soldier, I teleport to he center of the the room, close my eyes, cover my ears, and count down.
(3, 2, 1, Boom.)
All six grenades explode simultaneously, burning, piercing, and tearing through the flesh of the unprepared soldiers. Shrapnel hits my clothes and stops, falling to the ground, all kinetic energy spent. The explosion is absorbed the same way. I open my eyes and look around the room with satisfaction. More than half the soldiers had been killed, and the survivors rolled on the ground feebly, moaning in pain. I walk around the room with my pistol, shooting every soldier in the head, regardless of if they moved.
"Teehee, well aren't you thorough? (Lol)"
I teleport two feet to the left and whip around, drawing my other pistol. My eyes dart around the room wildly, but I see no one. (I could have sworn I heard a voice just now...))
"You missed one, silly"
(That sounds like... A young girl?)
The voice comes from the corner of the room, where a synth is rapidly regenerating his body. The bits of metal is pushed out of his body, and the bullet I put in his head drops to the floor. His charred skin falls off and is replaced with new flesh, his fingers regrowing. Only seconds later, the man was fully healed. I aim both pistols and prepare to fire, but the man is neatly crisscrossed by cuts an inch apart over his whole body then smashed into a thin paste against the wall.
"Toooooo sloooooow" the voice mocks as it floats through a wall and out the room.
(That, that voice, it sounded like... Meenah)
((Alright I still feel like I should edit this some more but its been ten days already so I’m just going to post it already. Name: David
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Power: David's power is somewhat complicated, in short he can enchant items by 'recording' other people's powers. The process can be cleanly split into two major parts, recording and enchanting.
The process of recording a power is the more complicated and time consuming of the two parts.
Recording a power involves David handing the subject a small polished piece of onyx which they must hold for the duration of the 'session'.
David will then proceed to ask a series of questions about the subject's power (what did it feel like when you first found out you had a power, what does it feel like to use it, what is your 'trigger', etc), the more details provided the better, all details are recorded into a leather bound journal (yes it is part of his power). After a suitable number of questions have been answered the power is recorded into the stone and an image will appear similar in nature to the following:
The image will appear in the center of the stone and will always face the viewer.
David will know the precise moment this happens and will generally ask for the stone back at this time.
What has happened is the stone has been recording the energy pattern(biochemical reactions, aural manipulations or whatever it is exactly that makes powers work) and the journal has been recording the various physical, emotional, and psychological triggers necessary to activate the power.
This means that someone unable (or unwilling) to provide the necessary details cannot have their powers recorded, the people most likely to be unable to have their powers recorded include but are not limited to:
Those who’s powers are “always on”.
Those who cant remember discovering their power.
Those who describe there powers as “second nature”,or cant describe their trigger.
Anyone unable to answer the questions put forward by David with enough detail.
The process of enchanting an item is a little more straight forward.
By holding one of the onyx stones in the palm of his hand and recalling or reading the journal entry that corresponds to that stone he can imbue an aspect, or an aspect of similar nature, to that of the power recorded in the stone.
For an example of what I mean by 'similar nature' if someone was able to manipulate light David could make the object manipulate some other section of the EM spectrum, or for someone capable of controlling plant growth he could make an object mimic photosynthesis.
Most enchantments are of a passive nature as active abilities are rather hard to get right without including several dozen powers to make a precise enough conditional statement to prevent accidental activation, so don’t expect him to be walking around throwing fireballs and lightning with a set of rings.
It is also possible to mix powers when creating enchantments, using the two previous powers it would be possible to make an enchantment that causes plants to bioluminesce, or perhaps shift the region of the EM spectrum used for photosynthesis.
Mixing powers does not make the enchantment anymore difficult, difficulty is instead based on strength and usefulness of the enchantment, and can be counteracted by quality of the item being enchanted, and using using multiples of powers (meaning using 3 of a particular power makes an enchantment easier than just using one.).
In addition to being able to enchant one item at a time he may enchant a group of items to a lesser degree or make a set of linked items such as a set of hats that allow telepathic communication.
It should be noted that an objects original use in no way effects what enchantments it can have.
Not all objects exhibit the same amount of enchantability, generally speaking mass-produced items are harder to enchant than hand crafted items. Also objects upon which someone places great sentimental value are easier to enchant.
An enchanted item will have the images of every power used in producing the enchantment somewhere on its surface.
Each stone only holds so much power at any one time, as such a stone cannot produce an enchantment stronger than the power from whence it came. The capacity of a stone is set the moment the image appears and remains fixed at that level, it can be expanded if the owners limits have expanded by having David rerecord the stone, asking what things have changed and how the person's powers have expanded. The amount of power a stone has will slowly regenerate after being used, so long as it it in the presence of gifted.
A few things need the be noted for clarity’s sake.
First of all about the images they are not my attempt to spam images I think are cool, there are there for balance. Each one will be custom made and each recording needs a new image, they take me anywhere from 30-120min to make, meaning that every time I chose to record a power a decent amount of effort has to be put in.
Second about the journal and the stones, while both are connected to his power neither stem from it.
The journal barring a few enchantments he has put on it, is entirely ordinary and just something he chooses to use, any method of writing down the subject's responses will work so long as it leaves behind a semi permanent record.
The journal is enchanted with an increased durability to normal wear and tear(its not going to provide any additional protection from attacks anymore so than a normal journal would)(done via force field manipulation). It repels spills of just about any fluid(via hydromancy) and can radiate heat fast enough to survive a normal camp fire for up to 5 minutes(via pyromancy). It also has a seemingly infinite number of pages, however any attempt to remove the pages would result in a count in around 90 pages(via paper manipulation).
The stones (again barring a few enchantments) are also entirely ordinary pieces of polished onyx, the requirement here is some sort of smooth object with a crystalline structure, he chose onyx as it was available when he was looking for more materials, and it just so happened to be the first material he used.
The stones again have an increased durability(again force fields). They also have a minor calming effect on anyone holding them, nor more than say sitting in a comfy char(via emotional manipulation).
It should also be noted that the stones seem to exhibit a very limited form of immunity from to the powers they contain.
Recording someone's power in no way affects that person's power, nor does it affect their ability to manifest their power.
Weaknesses:
It should be noted that his power is entirely utilitarian in nature, and is quite difficult to use in an offensive or defensive manor. This is a much bigger weakness than it first appears, take note of the fact that this means that unless he is armed he relies entirely on the people around him for protection from attack.
His power takes a long time to fully utilize, recording a person's power can take anywhere from 30 min to several hours. Enchanting is generally quick taking around 10-15 minutes for more complected enchantments but a sufficiently intricate item must be acquired before an enchantment can be applied.
The first part of his power seems to have made him more than slightly obsessed with taking notes on just about everything.
His attempt to record events from an objective view point for so long has left his emotions slightly deadened.
Misc (Yes I’m adding a section):
His emotional deadening by no means makes him immune to any mental effects, only slightly socially awkward.
All images will be generated in a 1920x1920 in png format and will be hosted on imgur.
All powers recorded regardless of how briefly they are mentioned will have a generated image. (That being said I have to make 4 due to the enchantments on my items.)
I may chose not to show a power's image to everyone, but will produce it to mods on demand.
The coloring and layout of each image is completely arbitrary and is in now way influenced by what the power it represents is.
for the purpose of blocking powers Davids power is the recording and enchanting, Each enchantment should be treated as a separate power. Blocking powers in an area will not wipe stones nor will it erase enchantments just temporarily suppress them, that is unless the power blocking actually removes powers then treat each enchantment and each stone as a separate power.
Appearance: Average height average weight, he keeps his brown hair back in a braid around shoulder length. The only thing that would make him stick out of a crowd is his constant scribbling in his journal.
Equipment(Yes I’m adding another section, although this one has a few redundancies in it):
His leather bound journal, enchanted with extra durability, liquid repulsion, fire resistance, and an endless number of pages.
A collection of 137 pieces of polished onyx, each of ovaloid shape at around 2.65g apiece(that’s around 4/5ths a pound in total) enchanted with increased durability and a minor calming effect.
What appears to be another leather bound journal but when opened reveals 137 pockets one for each piece of onyx he has. Enchanted with extra durability, liquid repulsion and fire resistance.
Personality: While he knows the social expectations placed on him, he doesn't necessarily understand most of them, particularly the ones that both parties in an interaction would ignore had they not been told it's the proper thing to do.
History: Now this power may sound difficult to discover. In all honesty it was only discovered when a childhood friend of his admitted to being gifted. At the time David had been in the midst of a rather complected point and click adventure game and had his journal in hand to write down hints and the like. The friend had been fiddling around with things trying to muster up the courage and at the particular instant they admitted having a power they had David's high school class ring in their hand, which just so happened to have a piece of onyx for a gem. With all of the requirements for his power met it activated and he had an sudden urge to ask a series of questions. His friend, happy that David’s response was anything other than fear or anger, gladly answered them. After around 15 questions Davids power had run its course and the image appeared in his ring.
The friend's power was paper manipulation, not very impressive I know. And with that he had discovered that he had a power, he relocated to the city of the gifted with his friend, where he stayed for a few years while fully discovering the extents of his power. He relocated again this time to Derika just before the events of “City of the gifted” (during the events of which his friend was killed). On the way to Derika he lost all stones containing powers, save the one in his ring, due to a series of unfortunate events involving a rather disgruntled gifted with the power of stone manipulation. Once he arrived at Derika he managed to incorporate himself into his faction, and replace the missing stones. (I am having a little trouble figuring out what faction he should be in I'm thinking unaligned but it could also technically be physical or slightly mental so pleased forgive my lack of detail on which faction he is in.)

Jenny approached what appeared to be a large energy core standing in the center of the room.
"Ah! Perfect." She said with a slight evil grin.
Max looked up at it with a bit of an anxious expression on his face.
"Um...Jenny. Are you sure this is such a good I-." Max said before Jenny pulled one of the wires protruding from the core.
"It's a perfect idea Max." Jenny said casually before pulling another wire. "See that control panel? That opens up the gas release valve of the core. I want you to open it and get ready to blow this joint."
"Wait...you're not going to blow up the whole base are you?" Max said.
"Nope. Not yet. these cores don't hit critical mass until three hours after the gas is released. Hopefully that's enough time for us to get out with everyone we need. On the flipside though, it takes about ten minutes for the core to escape the chambers and engulf the entire room." Jenny said.
"Ah. I see." Max said before turning to the panel. "Now hold on. Why didn't you destroy the core of the last base?"
"They had higher security measures to prevent me from doing so." Jenny said.
"Ah." Max finalized before returning to the panel.
After Max found the release valve button, he looked back at Jenny: giving her a look as if to ask 'are you sure?'
"Push the button Max." Jenny said: to which Max turned around and nervously pressed the button.
An alarm sounded in the room and a loud hissing was heard from assorted ducts in the room.
The lights flickered and then dimmed before the two of them could see the core inside the chamber expand: cracking the glass of the chamber.
"Okay! Let's get out of here!" Jenny said as they heard gunfire down a hall.
The two of them exited the door they came through just in time to see the guards come up into the room.
The guards aimed their guns but the glass of the chamber shattered outwards as the core broke through and sprayed the soldiers: giving Max and Jenny a clear line of escape from the room.

Max looks at Jenny anxiously.
"I simply disabled the power core." Jenny said with a smile. "No need to worry. We've got a couple of hours before it goes nuclear."
"Or...so she says." Max says rubbing the back of his neck.
She frowns, thinking. "It's probably been a week since I had anything I would consider a meal. Of course, at that point I was still in human shape, and they could put power-dampening cuffs on me.((I'm assuming that's a thing, it makes sense after all and I think others have mentioned them)) but when they left them off for a few moments..." She chuckles slightly. "I came quite close to making it out. It was a Synth who caught me.... Mind control, I think. Something like that. But after that, they left me stuck in a cat's shape, so this way I will stay until I have enough fuel for a shapechange."
((>.< I fell asleep and the missions 3/4 done. I also have no idea where the mission is yet, but I'll just say I followed Crow and look important.))
Oh man, I lost Crow... no way I can follow him with his wings...
Panting from running, I collapsed under a lamppost. As I catch my breath, I'm kicked by buff Gifted covered in tattoos. He leans in close to me, whispering "This is MY lamppost you can have that one over there."
whilepointing across the street. Following his extended finger, I peer in the general direction to see not a single lamp. "And do you see any lampposts? I didn't think so. Don't sit on the lampposts."
Grunting back, I mutter "Its not like I have anything else to do, already missed the mission." "Well maybe you could ASK someone where the mission is and they would tell you..." "Does it really look like I would bother asking for directions?" "No, but you look bored." "Well then, gimme directions." "Wander into the forest, and you'll eventually find it." "What kind of directions are that?" "Useful directions, get moving kid."
Wandering into the forest, I found the ETG base and slipped through a well traveled hole in the fence and sat by several bodies near the main entrance and honestly stopped caring and fell asleep. Several minutes later, I'm woken by an ETG thug sprinting out of the building. Not that I actually cared, and fell back asleep.
As Winter got back from work, he decided to check his emails. There was one in particular particular that stood out, "Meet us at 2418 chickorie Ln. at 13 hundred." " 1:00? Oh great, that was an hour ago. Better get going." Winter got on google map printed then went off.
((I also noticed this, Idk if anyone addressed it, but would Dericka officials really have put the city on Google maps for the whole world to see? I mean, you would easily be able to get a map from of the city, but off of Google maps? It would be more likely made by a Gifted using some other Dericka specific software.

I looked genuinely surprised at how long it had been since she's had a meal. "Well, don't worry. When we get out of here, I'm gonna buy you a big, plump chicken," I promised. Then, the alarms sounded. I looked around, and I flew out of the base a bit faster. We finally got outside, and I looked at the base, which was slowly rumbling. "So... do you know what's happening?" I asked Silvina.
"We must call for aid! Executor, bring out the Reavers! ... What? What do you mean we don't have reavers anymore? Then... send the Dragoons! ... Ugh, then what do you suggest? ... What's a Void Ray?!" -Tassadar, Savior of the Templar

(Max did speak to the fourth wall in the last thread. probably because I do the same when no one is looking. But also as a joke off old cartoons))
((I wouldn't know then considering i've never watched the anime/read the manga.))
Max and Jenny kept fighting together through the remainder of the fight.
They stopped at a door of, from what it looked like, the main power room.
"Ooh." Jenny said with a smile on her face. "Let's cause a little mayhem."
Max chuckled disbelievingly as Jenny approached the door.
"Wait. Really?" He said.
With this Jenny broke the door handle and quietly walked inside.
"Okay then." Max said nervously. "I see you're serious then."
The two of them walked inside.

[Clyde]
Clyde had looked up to see a white-haired male looking at him. The kid seemed as if he was 12 or something, sort of like Netal. "Netal isn't that tall," Clyde said to himself. "Ye-Yeah... I'm really dehydrated... I can't speak much...
((Lucky, are you with Aaron right now?))
Deemas began flying out of the building he and the other just wrecked, being more careful due to a cat being on his shoulders. "So... how long has it been since you've eaten?" I asked Silvira.
((Sorry. I'd make a longer post, but I'm drop-dead exhausted right now.))

<Liam>
<Jake>
Meenah)
Name: David
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Power:
David's power is somewhat complicated, in short he can enchant items by 'recording' other people's powers. The process can be cleanly split into two major parts, recording and enchanting.
Equipment(Yes I’m adding another section, although this one has a few redundancies in it):

((Not that it's a bad thing, I actually think it's really good, but your app is so very long. The app is obviously very detailed and well thought out. Everything from the history to the power explanation is excellent. Your power is quite unique. I look forward to seeing the images for the stones. Accepted.))
I arrive at the entrance to the power room just in time to see Max and Jenny sprinting out.
"Woah slow down guys, what's going on?" I ask them.
"I simply disabled the power core." Jenny said with a smile. "No need to worry. We've got a couple of hours before it goes nuclear."
"Or...so she says." Max says rubbing the back of his neck.

He leans in close to me, whispering
"This is MY lamppost you can have that one over there."
while pointing across the street. Following his extended finger, I peer in the general direction to see not a single lamp. "And do you see any lampposts? I didn't think so. Don't sit on the lampposts."
Grunting back, I mutter "Its not like I have anything else to do, already missed the mission."
"Well maybe you could ASK someone where the mission is and they would tell you..."
"Does it really look like I would bother asking for directions?"
"No, but you look bored."
"Well then, gimme directions."
"Wander into the forest, and you'll eventually find it."
"What kind of directions are that?"
"Useful directions, get moving kid."
