"Quick" backstories for each of my characters, starting from oldest to youngest.
Xzen: Xzen, used to be a member of a race of beings that existed within a universe consisting of four planar dimensions, rather than the three known to us. In the universe he (and Andire) originate from, each of these dimensions contain an energy that forms the unvierse and all beings in it. In their original universe, the three planes are Body, Mind, and Spirit, but Xzen's contained a fourth, known as magic. At some point in time, Xzen and a few others of his kind participated in some form of rebellion that ultimately resulted in failure and their banishment to a lower realm. The dimension of magic within Xzen and his companions, unable to keep its form in this universe, shattered, splitting into two energies - mana and chaos. Using the vast amounts of energy invested in them, they created new life in the universe, making them gods. Xzen in particular created the Human race. There's more, but for now let's move on.
Andire: Andire is an 8th generation Adrican immortal. He is also the oldest Adrican that is still alive. Thanks to his age, 12,500 years (equivalent to 100,000 earth/equestrian years), he has had the time to train in virtually all trades the Adricans are aware of; his most prominent talents lie in the fields of combat and magic. Due to the way the Adrican government was structured, his age and immortality gave him final say in all matters of law, as the Adricans are ruled by an multilevel oligarchy consisting of the different generations of immortals. His resistance against many of his younger immortal brethren led to an eventual plot to get rid of him; they sent him to "assassinate" Xzen, whom had been causing mass destruction upon the Humans he created every time they advanced, forcing them to restart. This served two purposes - the first being to get rid of Andire, whom they believed was not powerful enough to kill a god. The second was to front an attack on Xzen, which, after he was gone, would allow the Adricans to absorb the Humans into a new empire, the plan being to combine Human intuition and Adrican ability to form an extremely powerful force in the universe.
Andire & Xzen's backstory merge here: Andire arrived on the Human homeworld via magitech space pod, and almost immediately was flung into combat with Xzen. Andire, whom had learned to wield not only the mana energies of magic, but also chaos, defeated Xzen; Xzen, refusing to die, essentially had himself absorbed into Andire. At this point, the Humans, unaware that Xzen was the one causing their misery, used their own forms of magic to banish Andire, much in the same way that Xzen and the other gods of the universe had been banished. The banishment, not having any specific target, ended up sending them to Equestria; while Andire's body was rematerializing, Xzen seized the opportunity, stealing half of Andire's body and half of his memories with it. Andire ended up flung into the Everfree Forest, and began living in the abandoned ruins of the ancient castle there. Xzen was flung into the castle in Canterlot, destroying a tower on impact. Andire and Xzen's half-bodies filled with the essence of the most related fauna their nature could find; Andire's with the essence of a Changeling, and Xzen's with the essence of an Alicorn.
Two years have passed since then. Various things have happened, including (but not limited to): Andire's expansion of the ancient castle into the expansive Blackmire Fortress, Xzen's discovery of the pocket dimension doors, and everything that happened in those RPs that we did a few times.
Solaris & Chitin: Xzen and Andire, at some point, would be able to collect enough natural essence to separate the equine halves from their bodies and restore their original bodies; as a side effect, the equine halves would gain lives of their own, becoming the creatures known as Solaris and King Chitin. Solaris is a red-coated alicorn with a heavily unstable mind and body; the instability of his body results in the flames that have overtaken his mane and tail, and the instability of his mind results in his love of fire. He is a powerful magic user, and is capable of replicating a spell simply by witnessing it.
"King" Chitin is a Shadowling, a mutant strain of Changeling created through exposure to high amounts of chaos (as a result of being part of Andire for so long; Andire is, after all, the Element of Chaos). They have a black and red color scheme as opposed to black and cyan, and have abilities in addition to the standard ones Changelings have; they (or at least Chitin) can produce new members of their species through magic, and can meld into shadows, resulting in their namesake. While they can still consume love, as all changelings can, they also have a taste for negative emotions, primarily fear, and gain more energy from those than they do love.

Chitin hardly talks, and he mostly sticks to his own kind.
I think he's off in the badlands somewhere building up his race or something. He's been doing that for quite some time now. Understandable; it takes a lot of energy to create a new being.
The human version of him is even less social, since he can't just create new beings. Though he does like to build various mechanisms. I think he helped human Solaris build a few of his machines, or at least fine tuned them or scaled them down or whatnot.

He built me this.

Hey Valkon X11. How do you make your avatar animated?
I used photoshop, frame animation, save for web as a .gif.
There's probably some other way to make animated avatars that works better, though.

Okay, yeah, that's longer than I thought.

Holy mother of backstories...
My chi must have been quite powerful that day, enough to counter the force of an elder Andrican...
An alternate timeline emerges.
However, we must first start from the beginning...
Everyone.
