The best way to learn is to start out with the basics. You will probably have to do a lot of studies and gesture drawings. I would recomend that you avoid copying artworks and instead focus on real models/objects. You can use photo and book refferences as well. Since it is often more convinient.

Well, my first and second art after I made this topic used Minecraft models as a reference(namely my Minecraft player skin, a Slime, a Magma Cube and a Blaze). IMO bot hof them turned out okay, but I think I prefer the first picture.
Too bad the scanner's broken, I can't upload the pictures here for now.

Different styles for different people.
Not everyone is looking for still life.

Well I suppose that's ok if you're not all that serious quite yet. Sometimes it's nice to just draw what makes you happy.
Hands are what always stumped me.
Too much detail for something so small.
Arms also bother me for some reason.
I used to suck at hands as well. But, other than me mismatching the fingers' sizes, I think I've been getting better. I just tend not to add in details to them(e.g. lines, fingernails, etc).
What I typically do when I draw is I look for images of things that interest me. I do this almost always through videos that I watch. If you were to do it through videos (like on YouTube or your own media outlet), you could simply pause it at a spot that looks pretty neat. Then, freehand it, if possible. Eventually, you get better at it, if you aren't already good at freehanding. Then, when you feel that you're ready, you can start forming ideas in your mind of similar things of interest, and you should be able to do it with some sort of accuracy.
For me, this is an anime sort of style. It can surely be done with other things. If not, my points are all invalid. Apologies for no examples, I don't do digital art.

My request isn't so much of "what to draw", it's more to "how to draw".
In other news, I tried to draw one of my OCs that I thought that would be easy to draw; the Light Star.
The result: The exterior looked rather fine, with the exception of a few unequal light rays which trigger my OCD senses, but the core itself didn't ended so great, since I seem to suck at drawing five-pointed stars.
I am aware. The message was that you should try to copy images by freehanding, and then you should be able to do it without copying others.
Well, after the failed attempt to make the Light Star, I decided to try to draw myself official artwork of some things from Mario: Super Mushrooms, Goombas and Shy Guys.
Results:
Super Mushroom: The cap was tough to draw, especially the middle spot. The shading made it a little weird, but I suppose the final result came out okay.
Goomba: The one I liked the most, if it wasn't for the fact that it's colorless, it would look exactly like the original artwork. Probably because it was the easiest to draw, being brown mushrooms with feet and a face.
Shy Guy: The toughest to draw, but other than the mask comming out round instead of oval and a bit smaller than usual, the result was pretty equal to the original artwork. I was too lazy to add in shading, however.
I think I may be able to draw Goombas and Super Mushrooms by myself without needing much assistance of a reference picture, but I can't say the same about the Shy Guys.

Drawing girls always threw me off. Also, feet. I can't draw them. At least most people wear shoes.

Just decided to add in here; I think I can draw human bodies pretty well, the true challenge are the heads.
I can give one advicy thing here. Draw the torso first, then legs, then arms. Why you ask? As I learned, the body will be in a position, in which you can then properly line the head up with the body. Lining the body up with head positioning is rather difficult sometimes. It is a YMMV thing. Check out Fine Arts drawing from imagination videos I linked in that one post, he explains this and why.
At first I wanted to be digital, but it seems harder, so I guess I'll just go with traditional.
Huh...?
Usually I just use a pencil or a pen when I want to do some (crappy) doodles, but when I do digital art, I use MS Paint...and it comes out 10x crappier than handmade.
?
?
If you mean by 3D-like scenes, yes. 3D-like objects, not so much. My mind likes stuttering my thoughts a lot, though.
Also, anime style interests me, so I wish I could know how to draw it as well.
Digital has a learning curve, an very weird learning curve. Traditional allows more I guess how to say, cordination from your eyes to paper.
#2 I kinda meant what kind of media you plan to use, such as only lead pencils (assumingly Lead Holders for more ease, they are cheap and better to use). Or colored pencils, or if digital what program and if a digitizer tablet or not such as Wacom Bamboo Splash (great for starting and even pro) or Intuos (not suggested on Intuos).
#4 and #5 are ideally saying what kind of artist do you want to be, I assume Hobbyist. As well kind of detail you want to work with. Cartoony, manga or surrealism are few examples.
#6 is fair enough, so long as you can imagine what you are drawing in full time to time.
Anime, is a thing that takes hard learning. I suggested a good book series, likely one of few best to exist. Other then that, there is TONS of anime styles, exploration is key.

Hm, thanks for the tip. I was thinking about doing that to a possible character doodle I was planning to draw, but her legs aren't so visible, so I suppose I just have to skip to the arms, right?
Don't forget hands, hands are evil too.

Well, I've been only using a pencil lately, though on my first picture I did used a blue pencil to color the head.

Hm, I think I may want to draw both Cartoony and Manga.

Ouch. I don't think that finding a book like that at where I live will be easy. But of course, it's just what I think, so it might actually be really easy.

Where can I find a basic tutorial about drawing heads?
There are many books and websites that can help you with the learning process. I have a few thrown together on DA. My list however could probably use a bit of updating/cleaning. http://soreiya.deviantart.com/journal/Art-reference-randomness-283207664
I think there are some Tumblr pages with decent tutorials. http://artutorials.tumblr.com/

This reminds me...I never drew pure feet. Only shoes.
I also used to suck at drawing them, but then I learned that I should draw first the shoe in the front, and then the shoe in the background.

Hands for some reason were never that hard to me.
