Now that summer holidays are coming where I live, the discussion of where to go for holidays happens in my family. We look around for stuff to do, but we have gone to too many places and we ran out of ideas to where to go.
We usually look around the Caribbean and go in the begining of February. Before anyone suggests taking a cruise ship, we done way too many of those. My father suggested to go to Cartagena de Indias in Colombia. After looking some stuff in there, 3 of 6 people in my family disagreed with it. He suggested it because he feels like taking a good rest in the beach, but I'm rather "beach-phobic" (I hate them). I looked around to other good places. Miami, been 5 times there. Dominican Republic, too overpriced. Mexico, even worse. Cuba, hell no. Small islands, been to all of the good ones and no one wants to stay at them.
I looked around to see some other stuff. I usually prefer "exotic" places. I looked the price for tickets to South Africa, 1200 dolars, but 1 person thinks its extremely dangerous because of wild animals (and also said that there are black people. I cracked up at that). Then I looked for French Polinesia, but its extremely expensive. After, I looked to Hawaii. Nothing suits my time (begining of February).
So, anyone got any good ideas? All of my family is asking me if I know a good place, but I just don't have any.

Try going somewhere with a little more 'culture', different to what you're used to. Try Japan or Malaysia.

If you can't strive for perfection, what can you strive for?
Hold on just a second... Your problem is that your family can't decide what exotic foreign land to visit this summer, and you go ever summer? I'm not even going to help. You have firstworldproblems to a level that I didn't even know existed!
But hey, since you have money, mind sending some my way? Considering my household is jobless, I'd say we could probably use it.
I actually live in Miami and it's a nice place. I would suggest Jamacia. The people are friendly and have a nice sense of humour. And it's just a beautiful place.

No matter how right you think you are there will always be some one standing by to correct you.

*Oh stop it you *
Well, it is sad to see people jobless. I hope you get a good job soon. Meanwhile, you can pick up a book about economics and try using the stock exchange and invert in good countries (Not Europe or USa, but rising countires like India or Brazil).
Well, I never have enough money to get out of the country, so I would have to recommend a place off of the things I have seen in books and websites.
Like some other people have said, New Zealand might be a good suggestion.

While I would also love to go there, it will be winter at that time and that's not what I wanted to.

Japan would be a nice idea. But Malaysian weather looks better. Also, I could go to Thailand and SE Asia. Thanks for that idea.
