Everyone knows the disadvantages of smoking.
The problem is, they ignore it.
Yeah, reminds me back in the 5th grade how people said that they weren't going to do drugs after getting talked to about the dangers of drug use by one of those people from the D.A.R.E program. Then 4 years later, I hear my old classmates talk about how high or drunk they got last night.
Is there any point to this thread besides the predictable congealment of agreeing blabbery and hilarious flailings from goofy anti-smoking 12 year olds?
That aside, if you used search you will find the original smoking thread where the OP says a lot more than the surgeon general's warning that you've parroted here today.

Most of those people are lying about "how drunk they got" But it kinda saddens me how little the percentage of D.A.R.E kids actually stay drug free. I really feel bad for second-hand people, everyone smoking around them-and they can't get away due to it being a family member or such.
There are hundreds of disadvantages. And how many advantages? A whooping zero.
Actually, there is 1 advantage. But it is a win-lose. Smoking thickens the blood, which is good for a girl I know-but at the same time it kills you. So, win/lose thing.

That is nothing compared to everything else. It's not a win/lose. It's a lose/lose.
Surely there are other treatments other than smoking...
I couldn't think of too many others other than donating blood that is thick, but what do I know about medicine and all that stuff.
And maybe that's the cheapest, short term at least.

Well yeah, I was naming the one related to smoking. But you would not believe all the food that thins blood. So she can only half the stuff on the market. But smoking...
Smoking is a major health hazard and should be avoided
Highly addictive though dangerous
Ash that gets into your lungs never leave unlike the smoke. As you quit, your heart attack risk will lower with the risk of cancer
Don't ever try it
The problem is, they ignore it.

The addiction made them do it.
That's why I steer away from that thing.
Ope.
Venit, quessit, induravit.

This has to be by far the greatest definition of overdoing it on the entire thread so far.
I'm finally back. See profile for details.

Well, considering how she would die if her blood was any thiner, it is a win/lose for her.
Surely there are other treatments other than smoking...

Yup. Because people are addicted to smoking before they even start.
