This new forum is nice, but in the topic view it is hard on the eyes to read down the page. Anyone else find it annoying? Idk, but for me the graphics are all to similar, the text all too similar...there is no variation to give visual cues where to look, and I find I have to strain my eyes to use it.

It does feel generic and unfriendly compared to our last forum. It also hurts my eyes. I think that there are plans for a reskin though.

But they weren't fixing it... They were making everything way better. Would you like a nice skin and no PMs or PMs and a horrible skin that will change in 1 or 2 weeks?

The things I don't like about it are that the mini-profiles are on the wrong side, everything is stretched out to the sides of the page, and the new topic, etc. buttons have ugly text (green? seriously?). This would have been my 4th year of being a member, but I stopped visiting since the skin hurt my eyes.

Back on the subject of this forum, I actually don't mind the way it is now; looks more professional than the old one.

Exactly. My eyes can't stand reading through the posts with the layout, so I didn't feel like looking. That's a problem.


And I do think it looks much more professional, and is much more functional, but it's just plain hard on the eyes. There needs to be variation in the text used (colors and type), and the posts need to be closer together. And all of the logos looks so similar it's hard to tell which is which. It might be just me, but generally the change has made me not want to go on the forums anymore.

My ol' bugged m510 can't load the new forums properly
(It gets free internet on it. Its pretty cool, I use that as a modem when the WiFi is down I love stealing from telecom )

No, that's just a forum hosting service that uses the default phpBB3 theme (this one is a slightly modified default them). I'm sure this is hosted on a paid account.
