An adventure map for all players that feel like doing something a bit different for a change. The main dungeon in the middle is based off of old school dungeon crawler maps. Everything around the dungeon is open and hosts a few challenges and many chests.
READ ME: For anyone who does not know, this is a INDEV map notINFDEV. This will not play in INFDEV, you must go to http://www.minecraft.net/indev/ and load the map from there!
Map Progression:
So I figured that the best way to approach progression in the map is the more obvious way, items. So it will play out like a Zelda game. Collect an item, item is used to enter the next area.
The Rule(s): First, no digging unless you have the appropriate tool. Shovel speeds up Dirt and Sand, so only use it for that. Axe - Wood, Pick - Stone, yeah... simple. (if anyone wants to play by it :tongue.gif:) Secondly, try to not just dig randomly, or say I blocked off a door that requires the pick, don't just dig around the door.
This will also force more exploring, you may have to backtrack to areas in order to enter rooms or hidden passages you may have found, but didn't have the correct tool to enter. It's all going to lead up to the dungeon. If you do everything and find all the hidden rooms/passages. Then you should be fully prepared to enter the dungeon.
You are allowed to craft, however I'm removing most materials from the map. But if u play by the one rule then you cant craft anything until u get the correct tool. I will supply you with either gear, or raw materials for everything. The village will have a bench and a forge for players to use.
Lastly, I did add a hidden room for players who don't want to deal with all the exploring for hidden stuff. The room will have everything you need, ever. You will have to find it however.
There are some areas that require you to backtrack to get out of a room and build blocks out of a hole. Not many though... I think 2 areas.

Thanks To: MaliciousH for the forest temple while I was mindlessly digging. LuciferZ for expanding the town and helping out in places. Kittensamurai for the assistance in digging the dungeons. Shudmeyer for town and throwing ideas at. Spyrext for doing nothing! ******* kept stopping everything you worked on lol. He's my friend don't worry guys. Alright well you added to town so thanks :tongue.gif:.
All the people who had to suffer through my failure release and kept sticking with it. Appreciate it very much :wink.gif:.
A Word From noClue :smile.gif::
I don't dislike the map but I wanted to have the map be much larger. It was my first Minecraft project so I had to learn about transferring maps with OMEN and all that junk. So the map was generated with the normal notch server gen lol. Because of that the map isn't that big, as u can tell the dungeon IS HUGE. I didn't mind that but I ran into this problem where I wanted things to be much larger than the map space allowed. So I am forced to cut down the size of each area around the dungeon. This map is more or less just a collection of random ideas I have working around in my head. Each area is scaled down in size due to spacing, but the general ideas are there. I wanted to try to add a lot more but with Notch getting closer to INFDEV update or w/e it is, the map will eventually be obsolete. After I release this I plan on either recreating a video game world I like, or start drawing out a something I might think of...
So I was thinking of starting a really large and epic map for infdev when it's done or at least generates better.
Guide/Hints
This will be a guide to entering all the main dungeons, does not include hidden chest locations.
-We start our journey behind the final dungeon. To the right we have the desert which you are not able to enter from this side. To find the town walk down to the river and follow it left.
-Upon entering the ugly red brick'd town :biggrin.gif:, you should be standing in front of stairs and a little beach to the left. If you walk up the stairs, you find the forge and workbench. Feel free to explore the town for goodies
-ALRIGHT! We are ready to start our adventure. If you haven't noticed, there is a stone wall along the edge of the town. The two entrances to this area are blocked by wood walls, so you can't enter without the axe.
-We know we need the axe, and by using the first rule you should be able to figure out that the desert will require a shovel. Shovel - Sand, desert is FULL of it so logically it would require the shovel. Follow the towns path up the hill and right of the stone wall to leave.
-Lets walk out of the town and just go straight to the corner of the map (left of the desert). Upon arriving we see a huge wheat field with the house and stable in the back. The shovel was left inside the 3rd wheat row from the left, while facing the stables/house.
-WE GOT THE SHOVEL! Now lets go to the desert. For the sake of directions, walk out of the farm house and go through the wheat fields. Once on the edge of the field turn left and follow the cliff side until you reach the desert.
-Follow the fairly open path in the desert, then take a right and climb up a hill into a old sand building. Go past that and find an entrance in the sand hill which is located to the left, in a corner. Enter and take the stairs up to the top of the hill.
-Turn left immediately, walk a bit, then turn left again and just go straight until you start seeing the stone houses. Go right past the broken gate into the main town. Once in the town take a left up to the side of the mountain. Look up and you'll notice that there is a 1 block sand wall which goes about half way up the mountain. Dig that 1 block wall. Enter and go right, up the temple stairs and into the main temple to the left.
-Walk straight back to the altar. Turn left and look for a 2 block entrance. Now we are going to climb to the top of the temple. Climb the path right upwards till you're over the altar, jump the gap into the 2 block hole. Follow the path left further up the temple. Enter the temple once again and jump across the blocks to the other side. Once on the other side, just take any path you see to the front of the temple, then climb the front as high as it lets you. At this point you should be very close to the top, front/left side of the temple (still at the top). Drop down ontop 1 block, and jump the gaps to the top. Look for chest which contains the AXE!
-Find your way down the temple and head back to town to the forest. Chop down one of the wood walls that previously kept you from entering the forest.
-Walk straight from either entrance till you see the temple's large wood wall. there should be a hill to the left, climb up it and drop down to the lower ground on the other side. You should be in front of the forest temple now. Just walk around till you see a hole and surrounded by 3 flowers. Drop down and follow that path underground. Destroy the leaves to enter the temple.
-Walk straight back to the opposite side and climb the leaves all the way around the temple wall until you get to the top. Once on top, circle around until you see another path along the center tree. Climb that path to the very top of the tree and grab the chest for THE PICK!.
-In the town, there is a building with a stone blocking the entrance, inside that building is a Hoe, if you need health feel free to go farming.
-Now that we have the Pick we can enter the dungeon. Go into the church (left of the well), and walk past the broken wall and up the stairs.
-No dungeon hints :smile.gif:.
Indeed it wasn't done with editor. That's one thing my friend said, he said people will probably think I did it with an editor. I don't like using any of those, I like to just go dig and build it. It's a lot more enjoyable that way!
Plants more trees, harvest. Rinse and repeat. Would take a ton of time though for the amount of logs he has but, I he's doing it in creative so that solves that problem.
I think you guys are misunderstanding him. This is being built in creative, and then he's going to change it into indev. Kind of like my Notchgard map, except this is a solo project of his.
It looks spectacular! I can't wait to explore the finished project!

Zelda Dungeons are very predictable. 2 small puzzle rooms to solve 1 big puzzle room, 3 big puzzle rooms before the sub-boss, 3 more big puzzles including a master key in the last big puzzle and the dungeon boss = 1 Zelda dungeon.

Nice Temple you have there Dudebrodius. I'm not sure since I haven't tried this but, does stacking the leaves change the levels of sunlight? Otherwise you can do one layer of leaves, then put the logs where u want on top of the leaves. That way the logs aren't as noticeable.
