Pathetic. Quatroking, stop being a hypocrite with your "create an actual userpage" and "don't use a photo of Notch, though I'm not going to say why" nonsense and learn how to run a wiki properly. If you want people to actually contribute to the wiki then you can put some effort into your arguments and not just leave my comments unanswered.

Aera has nothing to do with it. I founded both the forums and the wiki, the wiki is "mine" although quatroking is the person I put in charge of administration. The only connection aera has is through hosting, he doesn't run the wiki. If you wish to complain about quatrokings handling of the wiki, complain to quatroking.

Using a photo of Notch for your userpage makes people get confused. Isn't that just common knowledge?

I've lifted the block, but I really don't want to see you using Notch's picture again. Its as if you're putting a picture of Bruce Springsteen on your driving license.

He has a valid point, that photo isn't exactly 'yours' so who gives you the permission to even use the picture of notch on your page?

The same argument can be applied to the hosting of the image on the wiki itself. Though to be honest, one should expect the image to spread around if Notch makes it public. Whatever the law says, you can't "own" data in the same way as physical objects.

Right well, none the less. If the Head Administrator of the wiki says don't do something, i would probably listen to him. Or try to reason with him instead of trying to insult him against what he's suppose to be doing in the first place.

...I did try to reason, but he never responded on his talk page and banned me when I resorted to recreating the page to catch his attention. Authority is corrupt if it can't justify its actions.

yeah, 'cause you didn't want to admit to your hypocrisy and wanted to throw around some arbitrary definition of a userpage to impose your silly, "just don't do this"-style of authority. I know the issue of Notch's photo is actually pretty trivial in itself but if you're going to go around imposing silly, disproportional things like indefinite bans over a userpage recreation just to prove a point then don't expect people to approach the wiki too warmly.
