This thread is dedicated to sharing settings files for Bucyruss' BiomeTerrain Mod v10.x and higher.
I realize that there is a post for the mod already, and that settings files could be shared in that post. Due to the number of posts in that thread, however, it is very difficult to wade through looking for interesting settings files. This is the reason that I felt that this topic deserved it's own thread.
In your post, please include...
A name for your settings file. This will help people refer to it if you share more than one.
Your name.
A description of the results that your BiomeTerrainModSettings.ini file produces.
If possible, a screenshot demonstrating the results that your BiomeTerrainModSettings.ini file produces.
The contents of BiomeTerrainModSettings.ini in a [ CODE ] block.
Poll Information:
Since there are a lot of settings submissions now, I've created a poll.
This is an elimination poll!
Pick your top five. Every three days I alter the poll ( not the thread ) to keep the top five in the poll and replace the bottom scoring five with five new files in the poll!
ROUND 2! New poll entries will be up as soon as I figure out how to reset the poll!
EDIT: The polling software here is hosed. It won't dump the old table contents and is a big damn mess now. I'll talk to a mod and see if they can help clean it up.
Just for reference, here is the poll at the time I counted votes...
And the new entries for round two, if I can get the poll tables reset...

The posts will not be deleted or altered, just the poll entries will change. Settings files are entered in the poll in order of their post times. New settings will also be added to the poll in order of their post times. This poll is to encourage postings and screenshots and to make a constantly updated list of community suggested settings files.
You can change your votes at any time as often as you like.
The poll will stay up forever.
Votes will be tallied every three days at noonish to make alterations to the poll contents.
Number of votes will determine the new order of the poll when votes are tallied.
I'll see if the poll will allow the choices to be links to the relevant posts.
Name: Island overhangs Author: Spyrewolf Description: Large Islands with some overhangs and a few floating islands, steady gradients that go from sea level, and gradually go as high as cloud level. (open the image in a new tab for the full glory)
Some really incredible worlds guys! I haven't tried them all yet, but I will.
Here's another I found that tends to create rivers! This river was several hundred blocks long from where I started to the sea. I haven't even followed it all the way the other direction yet!

... snipped awesome shots here...
NaturalCauses those are very incredible shots! The world you created is spectacular but the shots themselves are too! How are you capturing panoramas? These don't look stitched, but rendered whole in one shot. Very impressive!
By the way, I had to poke around a while in imageshack to find the direct links so that I could see these in full resolution. You should swap the links out for those because these need to be seen BIG!
Name: Jungle Gym Author: Cobalt27 Description: Floating forest-covered islands abound. Precious minerals are all over, but to get to them you'll have to island hop. Watch your step... Screen Shot: Settings:

The images actually are stitched together, if you look hard enough in the last 2 you can see a few seams. Each panorama is composed of about 20 different shots.
-Edit-
Also using a custom Painterly Pack texture pack, Mr Messiah's Ambient Occlusion and Better Grass mods. Who says you need 128x128 textures to take awesome pictures ?

Name: Sky Gardens Author: Reikos Description: A lush, oceanless world suspended above the void. Massive floating continents lay riddled with serpentine networks of natural caves and shadowy overhangs, with myriad smaller masses populating the surrounding skies. Much to explore and discover, with many exposed minerals waiting to be collected -- but don't mistake these enchanting worlds as benign. Monsters can spawn and persist in many of the twisted landmasses' shadowy recesses, and a single misstep can send you plummeting to your doom in the infinite nothingness below. Screen Shots:
Enjoy! It's worth noting that unless you have a very powerful computer, this will likely run very poorly. Having so much empty space and thus having to render much more seems to make FPS chug.
Very uh.. interesting world. Name: Highland Cliffs Author: LGThanatos Description: Basically a map-high flat plateau, that has tall cliffs reaching to the bottom of the map, where there's ocean. Screen Shot: Settings:
Excellent thread! Saves A LOT of time playing with the variables. Keep up the additions :smile.gif:
Any variable sets for Islands or deep holes or thick forested hills (like a real Amazon jungle)?

The key values are both fractures at -2, both volatilities at -1, and max average height/depth also at -1. I think that's what got the slopes so even.
