The Download!
Oh, if you don't know how to install a texture pack, just follow these directions!
1. Using the built-in texture picker in the Minecraft game itself, open the minecraft texture folder (How to find this!), and place the DragonCraft.zip into that folder from wherever you've stored it.
2. Select DragonCraft from the list of texture packs.
3. Enjoy!
Also, here are a few mods I like to use (and support!) MrMMods[Beta Compatible] Wild Grass[Beta Compatible] Zan's MiniMap[Beta Compatible] Handheld Torch (Will be adding a dragon mod at some point!!!)[Beta Compatible]
Looking nice so far, i must confess i have an obession with dragons too.
However i dont like the look of the clean stone. Maybe make it look cleaner? Stone should be dull to look at. That has a dent in it XD. Since your going for medieval style make the leaves a dark green. Dark colours (especialy leaves) give some great looking landscapes!
Also you must re-name diamond to dragon scale or somthing!!!!

Thanks for your suggestions!!
I was think things were a little to light honestly, especially the sand and dirt. You make a good point about the stone too....
I was planning on sticking to darker colors as well. :smile.gif:

I PLAN ON MAKING EVERY MOB I CAN A DRAGON
Thats it, you get the idea! Also some more tips is that it shouldnt be too dark and with each block you should be easly be able to tell what is is (Unless its themed to be somthing its not). My last piece of advice is to play around with the painterly pack (http://www.painterlypack.net). Select some textures you like in the customiser then try to base what your going for off them. I support this and it has been bookmarked
[EDIT] That painting with the 2 dragons wraping around the goblet is awsome...
So you too are a dragon fanatic. I'm one too and I support this mod.
Thank you very much for your support! I really hope this turns out well. Its a lot harder than it looks... but it is helping me learn the ins and outs of GIMP pretty fast. :smile.gif:
I will probably stop for the night. (Where I am it is 12:28 AM) But will start back first thing in the morning!!!
How would I go about doing the grass? I noticed its gray.... do I leave it like that or do I color it? If I keep it grey will it keep the biomes by any chance?
Also debating on weather to make the glass like stained glass...

Well, biomes work by multiplying the value in grasscolor.png with the values in the grass texture. So if you want one uniform grass colour, you need to change the grass tile to a colour and grasscolor.png so that all the colours in it are 1,1,1 (RGB). But yeah, if it's gray that'll look best with biomes.
I'm not sure how to do the glass, since I'm no artist, but otherwise, I think this is a great pack so far! I'm definitely using it when it's done. :biggrin.gif:

Thank you for that info and your support!!!!! I will hop to making the grass immediately! (well after a little house work). I'm think of making the grass a nice dark green (and I mean dark) sliding into a duller lighter green as it gets colder. As for the glass, I still don't know, I want to put a circle in it though. and have kinda like a flower thing. Like below except it will be four petals in a circle, the petals pointing up, down left and right the middle would be empty. That way you can see through it clearly yet it will still look medieval-ish.
One tip, though, is that a lot of people are using the built-in texture switcher to change textures now. There's a current glitch in that switcher that doesn't swap out the grasscolors/foliagecolors files, so most people will be using default biome colours. So I think you should work your pack around that and make the grass base a bit darker so that the grass will be darker overall.
Also, I like your idea for the glass, but would you be able to fit it in a 16x16 tile?
Good luck putting that much detail into the glass at 16x16. Also as far as stained glass goes you can't currently have semi-transparency on the glass which sucks.
As for your texture I like it quite a bit so far. The biggest thing I can say against it is that the smooth stone doesn't tile that well. I find something that helps me tile them better is just opening up paint and copy pasting a couple versions of the tile into it to make a 3x3. Helps me see where I need to fix the tiling.
Wow yours is coming along. :smile.gif: I like your torches. I messed with it a bit for mine and gave up deeming it to be a "candle." (Tried to do an old style lantern ended bad with the crossing thing.) But you got me to keep on thinking of a better idea. hehe XD

Thank you for that tip, I will most definitely have to do that :smile.gif:. I love the challenge of pixel art because it makes you think. I'll make it work, somehow. especially with people like you who know what they are doing. :smile.gif:

I know I have just started, but this just means I'm at the point where constructive criticism is needed ever so badly!
