Basically, I have this idea that if I knew how to make, I would. I present to you: ARC Energy, which stands for "Accelerated Radioactive Crystallines", that are extremely volatile and powerful substances. In appearance, it is a purple-blue-orangeish liquid that moves even faster than water and will cause any mob or item it touches to instantly disintegrate. However, it is EXTREMELY rare, even finding a single block of it deep underground is rarer than diamonds. When found, however, it is given a variety of uses. It also has strange lightning-bolt like objects leaping across its surface.
ARC fluid cannot be picked up by a normal bucket. Instead, you must craft a specialized tube to hold it:
This will create one tube in which ARC fluid can be stored. Once it is stored, it can then be used for a few different crafts.
1. Solid ARC Energy
By cooking the tube in a furnace, you can create solid ARC energy. THIS OBJECT IS EXTREMELY EXPLOSIVE, AND IF IT IS DROPPED, IT WILL CAUSE AN EXPLOSION 2x THE SIZE OF TNT! When it is in the solid state, you can use it to fuel furnaces. It lasts 3x as long as a lava bucket, and you get the tube back.
2. ARC Converters
Converters are used to power certain blocks. A converter connected to a furnace will make it cook faster, a converter attached to a dispenser will make it fire faster and with more damage (if used with arrows), a converter hooked up to a lightstone block causes it to be 5 light levels brighter. Converters are crafted as follows:
Where Fire = ARC Tube, ironore = Iron Block, and gunpowder = redstone dust
3. ARC Energy Emitter
Energy Emitters can be used as doors. They are placed above a block, and when placed, fire a high energy beam below it. Anything to walk through the beam will be killed/destroyed. However, it can be turned on/off with buttons/levers/pressure pads and redstone. It can be crafted like this:
Where diamond = ARC Tube and ironore = Iron Block
4. ARC Cannons
This might be a little high tech for the game, but...so be it. ARC cannons can be crafted and placed kind of like a dispenser can. They face one direction (not up/down) and when powered on, they fire a beam that direction. It causes instant death. It also requires a lightstone block next, above, or below it to fire. It is crafted as follows:
Where ironore = Iron Block and diamond = ARC Emmiter
5. Teleporter
Teleporters are special blocks, like nothing else in the game. When they are crafted, you get 2 portals. Different portals CANNOT stack. When you place one, it will become Portal A. Placing the other one will make a 2-way portal between the two. TELEPORTERS ARE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND CAN POSSIBLY KILL YOU! Because of the strange way ARC liquid acts, you always have a chance to die when using the portal. If you are lucky, it will simply not work. Hooking a teleporter up to a converter reduces the chance of failure. Teleporters require a lightstone block under, next to, or above it to function. This counts for BOTH THE INPUT AND OUTPUT TELEPORTERS. They are crafted as follows:
Where ironore = Iron Block and Diamond = ARC emitter. This recipe will give you 2 teleporters that are unique with each other. They will only work with each other unless a sign changes their input.
6. Disruptor
Disruptors are also specialized blocks that are somewhat like soulsand, but affect a larger area. All the blocks around this one (diagonal included) will become a "disruptor" zone, where mobs are slowed down. However, the slowing effect is 5% less powerful for these blocks. It is crafted as follows.
Where soil = Soulsand, Diamond = Arc Converter and ironore = Iron Block.
7. Repeller
Repellers are somewhat like disruptors, except these ones are more powerful. Any mob (including player) will be pushed back from the block kind of like they are standing in a current. The area of effect is the same as a disruptor. THIS DOES NOT STOP ARROWS OR ENEMIES FROM SPAWNING IN YOUR BASE! It is crafted as follows:
]
Where ironore = Iron Block and diamond = Disruptor
8. ARC Liquid
It is also possible to create the liquid, that is, if you find it first. It MUST be stored in a tube before it can be taken out of the furnace. It is crafted as follows:
Where goldbar = Gold Ingot, Gunpowder = Lightstone dust, Lava = Lava bucket and diamond = solid ARC energy. It will create a single block (un-named) which can be smelted in a furnace (with a tube as fuel) to create ARC fluid.
9. Solid ARC Block
Solid blocks of ARC energy are another special kind of block. When placed, they have the same resistance as iron-diamond blocks (somewhere in there) However, when they are mined (not hit, but mined/blown up), they explode with 4x the force of TnT. It gives off a light level equal to a lightstone block. It appears to be a glowing purple-blue-orange "energy" sphere inside of a glass box. It also powers items like a redstone torch would. It is crafted as follows:
Where diamond = solid ARC energy
10. ARC Reactor
This block is like a more powerful version of a redstone torch. When placed, it powers up objects in a 6 block radius as though it was connected by powered redstone. However, it is 2 blocks high. It gives off a light level equal to a lightstone block. It is crafted as follows:
Where iron = iron block and diamond = solid ARC Block
11. ARC Flasher
Ever wanted to torture animals or creepers, but felt bored doing it? Well, now you can have fun with the ARC flasher! When it is powered by redstone, it causes the ARC energy in it to suddenly annihilate itself, causing a bright flash that will incinerate any unfortunate individual (or pig) who is caught within 10 blocks without cover. However, it is costly to build. When powered with redstone, it will activate once per charge, so it won't constantly fire. If glass is within 5 blocks of "ground zero", it will not protect you from the ARC Flash. Here is how you craft it:
Where iron = iron block and diamond block = ARC Reactor.
12. Railgun
Instead of using that outdated bow, why not fire rails the size of a ruler at the speed of light? With the railgun, while it is costly, it goes through enemies and is always an instant kill. It can be crafted as follows:
[] []
Where diamond = ARC Tube, Diamond Block = ARC Cannon, and Ironore = Iron Block.
You must craft rails to fire it:
[] []
[] []
[] []
This gives you one rail, which does not stack with others. It is required to fire the Railgun. When you fire it, it turns into an Empty Rail, and can be "reloaded" by combining it with a single iron ingot and the empty rail on a crafting table/inventory.
Is anyone willing to make this? I'd lose my virginity for it.
well in that case.... LOL jk. but when mcp updates for minecraft beta 1.3 i can take a shot. i'm not very good with code yet but i'm willing to try, if you want me to try then just reply :smile.gif:

Its and idea not A mod...
Sadly, tis' only an idea. I'd make it if I knew how though. New ideas tomorrow, including superawesomeARCweaponsofDOOM.
Keep this bumped so I can find it.
EDIT: Added one more craft before I head off to bed. Used as a trap.

Edit: I've not actualy seen anyone make a liquid in Minecraft before, it'll be cool if someone could make this mod.
EDIT: Added 2 new base defenses/traps.

How about when you drop a solid core, it blows a hole all the way down to bedrock,
and im not sure if the name quite fits the idea...
Thats why I wear one, too..."
If you drop a Solid ARC Energy item (not block), it causes an explosion.
Someone please make this D:
