SnowMod is a modification that adds snowfall and ice/snow regeneration back to Minecraft, in a controlled, optimized way. Snowfall is confined to cold biomes by default to conform to the biomes added since this feature was removed. In addition, your snow harvesters should work now that water removing snow produces snowballs again.

Yeah, I realize there's a port of an older version of this, but I've been optimizing this and finished porting it today from 1.1_02.
NOTE: INCOMPATIBLE WITH MANY MODS (and will probably never be compatible)! Download here
ModLoader support: Yep. Barely.
Changes from 1.2_02:
+ Ice/Snow plopping logic completely re-done due to block-tick bugs. Adjustable spawnrate (see included .patch file)
+ MODLOADER SUPPORT OKAY NOW STOP ASKING, GAWD
+ Fixed cache crash bug
+ Generate temperature map during chunk generation for faster loading
+ Detection of SMP maps to avoid trying to place stuff during online play.

Make sure you aren't running Minecraft or have some program accessing the jar.
As you are using dn and oj class files, i have the fealing this wont be compatible with MCRegions. Could you please look into this and make it compatible ?
Absolutely NOT compatible since I cache biome temperatures to disk rather than regenerate them every time you load a chunk, which causes an enormous amount of lag when loading chunks.
I could try making a patch FOR MCREGION that would provide the same functionality, but then again I have college, too.
Amazing thanks! But I was wondering if it's possible to make it work with Modloader, that's the only one that makes my game crash :s But all I did is make a new minecraft.jar, put the mod in, added snow, and put back my old minecraft.jar. You should add this to the readme or something so people can do this. Thanks again for this mod and nice work!
Every mod is compitble with mo creatures, mo creatures does not change any ingame class files, which means it is compatible with every mod. If any mod changes a class files, there is a fair chance it is incompatible with a mod. Come classes are used more then others.
This mod is incompatibe with McRegion, Modloader, and More Block Ids.

Like I say in the readme, it probably will interfere with every mod ever.
Yeah. Here's hoping that notch will re-add this into the game soon.
