You should change the background on the Hellux ore, because right now it doesn't look right. It looks like , instead of netherrack. So, change the background on Hellux ore so that it blends in more. Other than that, it looks like a very good mod.
Right, as I'm on my phone in bed as I type this, I'll make the new ore and netherwood items designs tommorow and the experienced mob guy can design a new mob skin if it's ok with the mod maker.

BLACK DIAMONDS-
Double the strength of diamonds, only found at the top of the nether (adminium) requires Shadite tools to mine
Shadite (pronounced shade-ite)
Ore gives off negative light, and is found super-commonly below lava lakes. It is rarely found outside of it, but only near lightstone. Breaking it gets you shadite dust, which can be smelted into shadows, or can be used as fuel in the darkener.
Shadite tools are as strong as diamond but only work in the nether
The Darkener-
Crafted with corrupted planks surrounding shadite dust, this is used to 'corrupt' planks from the overworld, convert overworld items to their nether counterparts, and smelt nether materials. a lightstone block can be darkened into a shadite dust.
writhing mass-
a block that has fluid properties, but can be broken by hand, meaning you can spam-farm it. it heals one half heart when eaten, and slows you down greatly when moving through.
Scourgerack-
An ore that looks like netherrack. It spawns everywhere normally, and even appears like netherstone. Its sinister nature comes out when it comes into contact with lava. It spawns a scourgerack monolith above it (neon-green crystal) that grows three blocks tall. then, in a torchlight-like radius, it converts netherrack to scourgerack. the process continues if more scourgerack touches lava.

nice ideas, i love the writhing mass, we were thinking of some kind of food in the nether, and no it couldnt be for smp without years of coding and notch helping
