you work for the West Sweden Mining corporation. One day, whilst mining very near bedrock, you stumble upon a vein of diamonds, and are elated. You suddenly hear a loud rumbling, and the world around you comes crashing down. A rock hits your head and knocks you out. When you wake up, an emergency broadcast is being played. Get out of the mine. Do not dig. Door mechanics may be disabled. Hazardous environments. One thought is on your mind:
Escape.
Miner's Horror is an escape map made by Kanohispider (kuh-no-WEE-spy-durr) in which you are a trapped miner and must solve puzzles and navigate through a broken mine with broken mechanics and bundles on TNT laying around. The entire map takes place underground, starting at about level 7, and the goal is to get up to level 64.
This will have a part 2, as soon as I get around to making it. Part 2 will look into the life of Dr. Leon Sisk, the man who discovered the Nether and created the Pigmen. The setting of Part 2 will be in a small town, crowded with various buildings.
Walkthrough
Spawn Room: Take the 4 from the chest. Swim through the tunnel.
Room 2: Fall down into the . Toggle the lever. Collect ceiling drops. Go through the door quickly.
Room 3: Take Powered Minecart, two and one from the chest. Make 4 . send the powered minecart through the hole with the tracks. Mind the .
Room 3: Melt the ice with a . take the minecart from the box. Put it on the tracks. Get in, continue onward.
Room 4: Make a lever. Use it to open the door.
Room 5: Take 2 from the chest. Go through the middle passage burn the third on the left. Climb the ladder.
Room 6: Take the , , , and from the two , make a , smelt the into , use the to make a cart. Make another . put that on the cart. Pu
Room 7: Trigger pitfall in the labyrinth. Use a pressure plate you picked up, or make a lever, to open the door. Continue through the hallway. Fall.
Room 8: Take a fishing rod from the , either drop it on the pressure plate or cast it onto the pressure plate. Go through the redstone-filled hallway. Cross the lava using the pitfall bridge. Fall into the hole with the portal. Use the portal.
Room 9: Climb up the stairs. Fall. Read the signs for a plotline. Fall into the lava pit carefully, enter the portal.
Room 10: Get pressure plate from chest. Cross lava lake to your left. Toggle TNT using the pressure plate. build your way up to the dark cave. Make your way towards the light. Climb. Freedom. Await Part 2: Tale of Dr. Leon Sisk
Room 1: Read all the signs for a fraction of the storyline. Check the chest for 4 sticks. Swim along the underwater passage telling you that lapis is a light.
Room 2: There is a large hole in front of you.
Jump down (You'll take 2 hearts of damage) and check the furnace down there for two cobbles. And there is a iron door with a switch. Before pulling it, Smack the workbench and collect it before pulling the switch. Afterward, head though the iron door, but not to the next room quite yet. some cobbles and dirt should fall from the top of the room. Grab them and get the hell out of there (Some lava will be caused to fall on your head)
Room 3: Destroy the lapis block and follow the minetrack trail. The minecart is at the end. Push it on the pressure plate. Making some TNT blow up back at the main room. Swim up the waterfall. You will see a chest behind some ice, destroy the ice and get the minecart out of the chest. This next part is tricky, lay down the minecart and push it. Now ride!
Room 4: This room is filled with lava. Hop from block to block. The furnace contains nothing. Once your at the iron door, you-

1: Silly boi, you can't break anything you did not place. This includes the workbench, the Lapis Lazuli, and the ice.
2: You slap the sticks in the furnace as fuel, make two smooth stone, and use that to make either a button or a pressure plate to open the door.
3: Most everything you need is in the chests in the floor.
well I can't really find any other way to beat that room other than crafting a stone pick and mining it. Either way, nice map. Some redstone puzzles would be nice.

Looks like a great map! I'm gonna do a lets play of it, and if it is as good as this post makes it up to be, I'll throw it up on YouTube! I'm pretty pumped to give it a go, I'll get back to you by tomorrow most likely. I'm going to be swamped with school work, so if I don't get it done tonight, then it may be a little while :/

It was quite short, but I would definitely recommend working on it. I made a video of me playing through it (it was nice because it's about 10 minutes long, so it's a one parter) and I enjoyed it although my bland commentary might suggest otherwise :tongue.gif:

I liked ur map and i liked how it is so far but it was a little short(which is expected seeing as its new). One thing i would like to happen though is the part where u ride the minecart is poorly done. It was difficult to get into the minecart because of the short celling, and the first booster sent me backwards into the water. All in all thought very good map and cant wait for it to be more expanded.

It's supposed to be a challenge to get in, and it's supposed to shoot you back out, just to be annoying.

Very nice, I rather liked that. Anyway, I'm working on expanding the map, changing the dungeon puzzle a bit, and adding more of a storyline.
It's supposed to be a challenge to get in, and it's supposed to shoot you back out, just to be annoying.
