NOTE: ALL LADDER-BASED JUMPS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH BETA 1.5 onwards. This map will no longer be updated. Please play my 3rd course instead.
Looking for a challenge? Look no further! This course will be the challenge for you! Try to complete all the stages! This is not a normal adventure map like others. This map focuses on platforming. You may become proficient in jumping and ladder climbing by going through this course!
Note: This is the second obstacle course built by me. If you are looking for the first one (hard one), please refer here.
Category: Obstacle Course, Challenge Map
I created a second obstacle course. I named it Tetrix1993's Challenge Course. It is the same as an obstacle course. This obstacle course is build such that people will not 'rage quit' as much as my first one. It is slightly easier than the previous course. Easy stages at the beginning. It will be more difficult at the last few stages.
The course is very compact - maximising the use of the land to bring the same amount of enjoyment and challenges from the previous course.
If you want to vote for this course, please do not vote 'Poor' or 'Fair' because of the frustration it caused. The vote should be based on the design, not frustration.
Current number of stages: 34
Smaller than the previous course, but with more stages!

So you aren't supposed to place torch on walls in stage 14? I thought that message was about not taking the torch from the wall in the beginning of the stage. Seems that I'll have to replay it, then.

Also
You can place it on the wall. What I mean is to use the torch from the chest, not to use the torch I have placed on the wall. Looks like I have the make the message clear at the next version.
Looking forward to this course a lot, even if it's easier. (I beat all stages and bonus stages on last course.)
Edit:
I beat Stages 1-15 in about 1 Minecraft day (20 minutes) except for Stage 10. (the opening/closing iron doors) I beat the opening/closing door stage in your previous course fairly easily (5 minutes?) but this one I've had to stop for the night after putting in 25 minutes. (Again, for comparison, Stage 15 on the previous map took me about 50 minutes.) I'm not entirely sure the timing is right. The third jump is probably the most difficult in the map barring the fifth, which I have yet to complete.
It could be just me, though. Has anyone else beaten it?
(Also, I'm playing single player, so SMP isn't the cause.)
Anyway, concerning the course as a whole... it is made the same quality and beauty of the last, is even more compact, and is overall fun to play.
For those who have never gotten past Stage 15 of the previous map or who have never played it, you'll want to play this map! I have seen no equal when it comes to Tetrix1993's obstacle courses.
If you have beaten Stage 15 of his previous map, then there isn't too much new here for you. A lot of the courses are similar, and the learning curve is not nearly so steep. Stage 15 on this map I enjoyed especially, as it contains a few new twists, but it's only equivalent in difficulty to, say, Stage 9 or 10 on the previous map. For the rest of the map, it's fun, but it's the same fun and you'll find it fairly easy.
Great job, Tetrix!
(Also, the "Maps" forum is brand new. A couple weeks old, maybe.)
I think I am going to build either a leisure park (swimming pool, ice-skating rink, bowling alley, casino etc), an amusement park (boat ride, roller coasters, circus etc) or a resort with obstacle courses in it for the future versions.
The number of stages in the next version will be going to exceed my the number of stages in my first obstacle course. I have built up to Stage 29. I am planning to build up to about Stage 35 for Ver 3.0
Ver 4.0 will be a themed obstacle course, just like the previous one, which also introduced a themed obstacle course at Ver 4.0.
Pretty easy, but I enjoyed the fence and cacti stages! (Also the tall tower!)
I only found 8 diamonds though. =[
Kroc, just run out and turn quickly. Perhaps your sensitivity is too low? I've always played at about 140% sensitivity, for both the obstacle course and normal play.

I am waiting for people to make a LP on this course. So far only hippocat had done so. I keep searching at YouTube everyday for the videos on this, but all of them are LP on my previous course. I had placed a link at that thread to direct people to this thread in big red letter words...
