I didn't test this in smp or in the latest version of minecraft, may not work as expected
Not calling this "magnetism" because I'm pedantic with terminology..

Tired of attempting to build the so-called "smart" booster?
Advantages
1. Delivers maximum momentum
2. Boosts instantaneously
3. Compact
4. Simple
5. No reload time
Disadvantages
1. Some conventional boosters can take up even less space
2. It's not always necessary to attain maximum momentum
3. The force it exerts takes up space in minecart mechanisms
4. The force can be annoying, at times
5. Takes 4 minecarts

So yea, I suggest using this booster instead of the smart booster. I really want to see advancement in autonomy of minecart mechanisms, rather than simply increasing distance. Hopefully this will help
EDIT: The C-Force (CART FORCE) is with Eyoxiz
This video gives a tutorial of Minecart Force Fields in Minecraft. I designed this all myself, getting the original idea from C-Boosters. It's really useful and interesting to play around with! There are so many different possibilities. Comment your with ideas, or post your own uses for these force fields in video responses! :smile.gif: Subscribe for more! Thanks guys :smile.gif:
Features: projected boosting (boosting from a distance), continuous teleportation (fastest mode of travel), and floating minecarts.
I actually observed similar things in my booster, but I couldn't find ways to predict its behavior, and you know how I'm like with consistency.
This booster FORCE FIELD GENERATOR needs a name.

That's pretty cool, actually. I might have to put that design in my LP series. Though I am kinda leaning towards boat trams instead at the moment, but minecarts are generally more compact.
I believe the flashing cart has the potential to randomly disappear upon chunk unload, as per all multi-cart boosters of this type.
The flashing carts will continue to exist. I've done the chunk unload test. I even checked in NBTedit. But I suppose someone could make further experiments.

I tried using some for a song as well, but everytime I launched the carts, at least 2-3 of the 7 tracks would always fail to boost. The booster is nice, but I found it highly unreliable for several at a time.
I like how you were so nonchalant about enterting the blinking Minecart:
"As you can see, I just ****ing teleported. Moving on. . ."
Seriously, that alone is the coolest discovery I have ever seen on these forums. The booster itself looks very nice too, I will test it out as soon as possible.
The only criticism I have to add to this so far is that you talk too fast! If you make another video, you should talk slower so it's less likely that us listeners will miss something and have to replay the video a million times! Other than that...
Awesome!
Edit: Still watching the video, and agreeing with the poster above me, HOLY **** YOU FIGURED OUT HOW TO TELEPORT!
I've always been intrigued by this booster. It has a massive power potential, and causes a force field. And now you've found that you can use it to teleport.
This thing is very strange. It would be very useful in SMP, to make a hidden entrance and a non destructible wall. Nice video!
Oh yes, a couple of things. Wasn't this booster unstable? A lot of people had that fourth minecart blink out of existence. Is that because they built it on a chunk boundary, or because you made your booster flat?
Also, this thread isn't getting the amount of views that it should. I suggest you rename this thread to "Teleporter, block protection, and force field! No hacks!", or something similar.
wow. I'm actually interested in the forcefield then the actual booster. If this works well in multiplayer, you can maybe build an Anti-grief system using this
Is it natural for the carts to continuously move while charging? Any way I build it, the carts push against each other or the walls and go back. Usually they do it in pairs, and most of the time it is only one of the pairs. (Side by Side)
Huh. I always assumed you were an old man, Conundrumer. This will take some getting used to :tongue.gif:
But on topic, this is some serious voodoo you've got here. I can pretty much explain away the collected momentum, but this resized bounding box thing is completely bizarre. Whatever the cause, my guess is it's almost certainly related to why overloaded carts will sometimes jump tracks. I'll have to look into it.
Anyway, just wanted to say this is really cool. If it turns out to be reliable enough, it may just be the solution to a problem I've been having on one of my projects.
