Hey guys I made a little server browser you can add favorites to (and might get an actual server browser later if there's a public master server list):
(Outdated image, there's now a delete button).
Here's the download: Download
Installation instructions:
Insert the files in bin/ into your minecraft.jar. Now, in minecraft.jar, you should have a folder named 'META-INF'. In that folder delete MOJANG_C.DSA and MOJANG_C.SF. You have to do this because notch signs his code and I wasn't able to get around this restriction any other way.
Usage:
To add a server to favorite click one of the '---'s. There are 4 formats you can put it in:
Name:IP:Port
IP:Port
Name:IP
IP
If you don't specify a name it'll use the IP instead. You can also add servers from in-game.
hey, downloaded it, looks really cool, but I'm having real trouble finding my minecraft.jar. I just got an HP pavilion, and I'm running windows 7, any chance you (or anyone else) would know where to find it??
Nice work. :smile.gif:
To be honest, when I saw the thread title I was like: "Oh no, another newbie who wants to know where to find the server browser. :biggrin.gif:

External server browser: Created by me, made for you.
Not working atm, and will not get updated in the near future, sorry.
Hmm. I like it, but for some odd reason I cannot add any servers to the list: Whenever I put an IP in, it just goes back to the server list with no serer IPs listed..
After multiple attempts, I find that this does not seem to work with the latest persistor...

You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. 100 internetz to you.
Yes.
Sweet. So I just drag the bin folder into the persister.jar right?
If the instructions aren't clear enough, yes, you drag the contents of the bin/ folder (not the folder itself) into minecraft.jar

Well it's still up.
I'm only 15, lol
Hey that's impressive. You've either spent a lot of time with Java in general or you've spent far too much time slaving over Notch's work XD
Now with even more burst dragons and autokickbans plugin rpg!

You mean "thingies"? There are two of them to delete. MOJANG_C.DSA and MOJANG_C.SF
