I just had to write this review of minecraftserverhost.net in no way do I work for them, I just have a server with them and I want to let everyone know how well they are.
Previously I had been with Hazenet and 123systems and at first they were okay. I had absolutely no lag the first few days or so. After that it quickly went downhill from there. Server was unplayable. Took weeks to get a response from support tickets and when they did respond it would literally say "We will look into it." I don't want to get too far into those servers and my purpose here is to review minecraftserverhost.
From the very start I spoke with minerdave on these forums for over an hour just getting information on their service. He helped me with every question and their response was pretty quick. Soon after I made the decision to switch over to them. They helped me with just about every thing from installing updates to addons. Even took the time to write some simple guides to help me out in the future. They've spent more time working on my server then I have been paying them and I feel their service may seem a little pricey, but with the quality service they provide it's absolutely more then worth it. They will even take the time to log into your server and make sure everything is working correctly.
As far as I know they only run minecraft servers as well as having their own. So they actually have experience in running a minecraft server and no what they are doing as opposed to other providers that just provide a server and the rest is up to you.
Another thing I'd like to add. With the experience I've had with other providers I thought that having a ton of ram was necessary, I didn't know how much overselling would have an impact on that so it made me a little hesitant to go from 6gb(old provider) of ram down to 2gb (new provider) with the new provider. I thought that it would be extremely laggy with the downgrade. When I moved to minecraftserverhost, I'm able to load over 10 different plugins with bukkit and have over 20+ people on the server and still have no lag.
If your looking for a server with excellent service I recommend these guys. Just give them a try. I guarantee you wont be disappointed and I stand by that.
I had a look at them and they don't seem to bad.
I think that I might try a month with them, There prices are good and I hear from many people that they are always
responding to your needs very quickly. They look like they have good servers with a reasonable amount of ram at a good
price. Once I have tried their hosting for a month I'll get back to you.
