Bigger craft table!

Postby pontusedberg » Tue Feb 09, 2010 7:40 am

yeah.

when you uses the small craft table, you can craft a bigger craft table with it!

[wood] [wood] [wood]
[wood] [wood] [wood]
[wood] [wood] [wood]

like that..

The space to the new craft table should be 12x12. or bigger.

With biger craft table you can craft:

Heavy machines, ( canons, flying machine, gearwheel's)
You know every time you hug a creeper, 1 minecrafter dies,

I think 12x12 is way too big. 4x4 is large enough for me.
It is ALWAYS 3:00. Not 3:00 AM or 3:00 PM, just 3:00.

I dunno. If it is going to craft large things then you are going to need a lot of resources. Still, I think a 9x9 space would be best. 12x12 does seem a bit excessive.

A bigger craftable would be 5*5 not more.
Notch is going to add more crafting things, you wouldn't want to eat a bread someone made between wood chunks would you?

So we agree that it needs to be bigger, but we're not exactly sure how big. What if you can attach crafting tables to crafting tables to make larger crafting tables? Does that make sense?

I both agree and disagree.

I believe that there needs to be more crafting stations. The more advanced the station, the larger/more complex the crafting grid.

The inventory is fine at 2x2. I also think that a Furnace for combining ingots and whatever could be 2x2.

The workbench is fine at 3x3, and there should be other 3x3 grids, I'm particularly thinking about Campfires (cooking, not to mention a permanant source of fire light) and Masonry stations (for brick and stone work).

As you start making more complex stations, the grids open up for more complex items. A Forge (weapons and armor), Apothecary (potions), Loom (clothes, tapestries), etc., should have 5x5 grids.

And then there should be the odd grids. For something like Alchemy, as an example, I could see seven slots: six arranged in a circle with the seveth in the center (for the item to be transmuted).

That's just one way to do it, but it makes sense to me. 8-)
