Zormium Nuke Mod!

This is my first mod ever, and I have no previous knowledge of java... So that's my excuse for any bugs =)
My mod adds in two new blocks,

Zormium Ore

It is crafted like this:

(The green things are what you get from mining Zormium Ore)

I am aware that alot of people have made nuke mods, but I've done my best to add in unique features to mine.

First off, It explodes (Herp Derp), resulting in a crater this big:


If it is on fire when it explodes, then the explosion explodes fire too!


Also, as you may have noticed it poisons nearby entities (mobs)! (This way a major pain to code)

(You can tell they're poisoned by the particles, but they aren't taking any more damage because they only have 1/2 a heart left)

Another thing, is that when it air-bursts, it creates five explosions to do a wider damage to ground targets!



It also explodes in water, unlike regular TNT


And it can even destroy obsidian!

My mod is obviously not as good as other mods out there, but as I said, I'm new to java and modding in general. So cut me some slack =D

Great mod, but my only complain may be the texture for the ore. It seems to big for minecraft ores. Besides that, it is a fantastic mod.

Yeah I did rush that out a bit. It was a part of a texture pack I made a while back, I just changed the color and shape a tiny bit. I might come out with a different version soon though... Oh crap, I just remembered that I forgot the .png files.... errr give me a sec...

Fixed it now =D

Yeah, the texture needs fixin' but other than that, it's good. I love the nuke's effect btw.

Because I set off a nuke a bit earlier =D

Updated ore texture to a more minecrafty feel in original post, and in download. Do you guys like it better now?

This mod looks really good man! I'm not a modder myself (but i know how hard it is) but will you add more uses towards Zormium, like in potions perhaps?

Originally it was my texture for the first version of the ore, just without the stone in the background. I might change it now that I changed the block texture, that is if you want me to.

At first I was thinking "another crummy ore mod. . ." but then I was epicly wrong! It's nice to see your taking a turn from the average new-ore-armor-tools-andcrap! I like what chez911 said about it being in potions that sounds great!

I'll definitely make a note to try potions, but I have very little java knowledge, so it may be a few days before I can work it out. If I can get it to work though, should I have it make new potions, or use the ones in the default game?
Also should I make the ore less rare? Its currently about as rare as diamond so let me know what you think.

Alright, I dont have enough time at my pc to do it now, but I'll try and do it tomorrow. What should I make it look like though? Because all the regular minecraft ores are the same block with different colors, but completly different items. So its hard to make it match the block
