Now It's not,but they are remaking it into Xbox version,so it will run on C++ because Xbox can't run Java.

You could try to get it running with a portable java version, so you don't need to install java.

No idea if this works though

All of you guys are wrong!!! You CAN play Minecraft without Java, and it's called Minecraft Portable, or minecraftp.exe. Minecraftp.exe is an exe file, while the regular Minecraft is a JAR file. This is the link:

.... Thats a launcher.... Minecraft is coded in Java. It does not run on anything else simply because no one has ported it. If you manage to play Minecraft with anything else, its not Minecraft, its a clone.

The xbox version is not coded in C++, and that does not mean it will be on the computer version either. Besides, the console version is already out. Google, people. It'll save you some embarrassing moments!  Posted Image

You could try flash versions on the internet such as minicraft, which was made by notch and isn’t that bad.
Don’t quote me. And Don’t quote me on not wanting to be quoted either.
