Hey everyone, i'm thinking of doing my own custom map and I'm running low on ideas for it. Also, I want it to appeal to a lot of players so I want to add as much to it that you guys want as I can. Some things you should know:

1. I still haven't started this project
2. If you can and want we can make this a GROUP project on a server
3. I need a story, or at least ideas of what you want to happen
4. If you want, you can be specific in what you want there to be in this map = sidequests, hidden chests, etc.
5. Feedback is everything I want from you. If you read this thread, try to at least post an idea.

Edit: I am doing everything on a flat map, no mods, plugins, or anything. I will try to do the things with redstone, but I am not very good at it. So help is appreciated.

Good ideas go here. After a long enough list we (all of you and me) can put things together in harmony to make a good flowing hopefully long map idea.:

I made two maps. They were hard to make so it's easier if you make it with a friend. I was looking for a friend with a private server but couldn't find one

if you are making puzzle map you should have: a big puzzle map so to other players it would be jaw dropping, parkour, details, chests and signs... thats what i think would be cool... hope this helped

ok, small hidden chests with nuggets in it, kind of sidescore.
The beginning:
War is brewing in Minecraftia. You are recruited by the Crafters Union and sent to a deep ravine to extermine the mobs there. While there you get lost in a deep cave, and u need to fight for survival.
To win, you need to light up the cave , and find the hidden diamonds. Then get out, and return to spawn.

Do you think that it should be a huge puzzle map or a map where there are parts to the story where there are big puzzles?

I voted against the storyline being a series, sorry. Can't have TOO much competition, now, can I?

By the looks of the polls, people don't want any more survival maps. Plus that'll be hard to make with a flatmap, if you did read my post.

Alright, so it looks like people want exploring maps where there are puzzles and parkour scattered around places. I'm also thinking of making a big area as one place, with hidden chests and you might need to craft a certain object to get next. Also there might be pumpkin npcs that are like merchants and you can trade items, so it has a bit of strategy and thinking to it than just a straight up follow the story map.

Hello i can help with redstone and instead of signs u should have writing on maps! i know how to do that too a story idea is your in minecraftia, there is a war going on and you have to use money (gold ingot, block, nugget) and buy weapons and armor to go on many quests throughout the island!
