REVIEWS
SlySlasher: "Wow, this is a TRUE example of a really satisfying map. This map revolutionizes the style of adventure maps, with perfect narrations and other aspects to compliment the game. There was no doubt that months of effort was put into this map, the detail and execution of the map is second to none. It truly stands out shining out of the field of adventure maps. 8.7/10" http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1110990-slyslashers-map-reviews/
RSmalec: "The story is classic fantasy with a powerful antagonist. Redstone and build special effects are top notch. Colored signs, texture pack, audio narration all showcase daDonn's polishas a map maker. The map even features a moral choice with different endings. 19/20" www.minecraftforum.net/topic/260249-
DocHavoc2: "Overall, Lord of Bloodycross is one of those must-have maps. It breathes new life into the adventure genre with epic narration and dynamic locales that are a sight for sore eyes. It's free. Go download it. NOW. 9.2/10" http://www.minecraft...ousnessmap-hub/
RULES

2. No breaking or placing ANY blocks except torches or cobwebs
3. Use the included texture pack

INSTRUCTIONS
Single Player: Copy the world to your maps folder as per normal. There are numerous tutorials available as to how to find this, so I shan?t add another here.
Multi-Player: The map should load into a vanilla Minecraft server without any issues, the spawn point co-ords are "-397, 75, -9" If you are lost there is a tree at that location, look for a hole at the top. There are signs leading you to the regular spawn point. NOTE FOR BUKKIT USERS:- This map makes extensive use of The Nether, so please ensure you load The Nether map files correctly. I am unfamiliar with Bukkit, so please do not ask for assistance with this.
AUDIO INSTRUCTIONS
If you wish to use the downloadable audio files (which are far easier to include with YouTube recordings, for eg), ensure you have downloaded the ?audio.zip? file available on the forum thread.
If you wish to avoid downloading the files separately and would prefer to stream the audio from YouTube, here is the link for Scene 01:
Otherwise, you may use the included text-based note files to experience the story. You?ll be missing out... .
DOWNLOAD
If you want to play YouTube videos to receive the audio notes, just download the map file. Otherwise, feel free to download the audio files separately - which could assist in mixing them into a YouTube recording, for eg.
NOTE - THE INCLUDED TEXTURE PACK IS A REQUIREMENT! THE MAP WILL LOOK VERY WEIRD IN PLACES WITHOUT IT!!!

SO I snuck a look at one of the LP's before I get started and some settings look familiar. Is this a sort of reimagining for those that haven't played Bloodycross 1+2?

Indeed it is! However did you guess?
So few people did play them, after all :tongue.gif:.
Difficult to judge, and it'll vary from person to person - and from single- to multi-player.
I dunno - a couple of hours or so, I'd say. I told Placlu that I'd add his total playtime to this thread once he completes to give people a rough idea of what to expect :tongue.gif:.

If you mean the size of the download - the map file itself is about 30mb zipped, the audio file about 60mb zipped.
If you mean the number of blocks you step over in your journey - a lot :tongue.gif:. I'm typing on my Transformer Prime ATM, so cannot load the map up and check.
If you mean the dimensions - well, the map has been made a fair bit larger than it strictly needs to be, thanks to the positioning of an exit portal from the Nether (did I mention the map makes a fair bit of use of the Nether? :tongue.gif:) - you sorta have to go with the flow when it comes to these portal positions, though there are ways to make them work for you using MCEdit.

Hey there, I'd just like to say that I've made a video on YouTube about this Minecraft map, I enjoyed playing it but to give you feedback I think you went overboard with all the pigmen, if I hit one of them I would've been pretty much screwed. I scored 36 in the end, I'm not sure if that is good though.
Anyway here is the link to the first part:
Thanks for making it, really enjoyed the voice acting and effort put into making the world change around you as you progressed through it!

Not every pigman in the map will become hostile - only those immediately surrounding you. And if you die I'm pretty sure they'll also lose interest when you return to that spot.
Meaning if you hit them it's not the end-game - but you certainly focus on trying to avoid them!
I thought it'd make an interesting challenge - a bit different from the norm.
Your score of 36 puts you at the top of the highscore list!
Of course, you're the first person to submit a score so far :tongue.gif:.
OK, I'm looking for some more scores to post - FlakeUK is looking pretty lonely there - alone up the top :tongue.gif:.

Good Work And Ill Try It Straight Away

Indeed it is! However did you guess?
So few people did play them, after all :tongue.gif:.
Hopefully you won't be disappointed then :tongue.gif:.
How long would you estimate the adventure to be?
Difficult to judge, and it'll vary from person to person - and from single- to multi-player.
I dunno - a couple of hours or so, I'd say. I told Placlu that I'd add his total playtime to this thread once he completes to give people a rough idea of what to expect :tongue.gif:.
How about a rough size estimate then?
What do you mean by size?

Compare it to the first two o.o
Well, it'll be longer than both of those maps, but without the boring walking bits of the second one.
Anyway here is the link to the first part:
