Hello. Before anything, i am brazilian, so my english is very very bad.

After update 1.1, my minecraft have suddenly FPS drops(250-350 to 0-10), i have tried OptiFine(not works).
I have a i5-2500, 2x4GB DDR3 Kingston 1333 MHZ, EVGA GTX 560 Ti 1 GB / 256 Bytes.

Anyone have a "fix" for this? Thanks.

Turning the "Advanced OpenGL" option to ON should help. When using OptiFine, set it to Fast.
Also... close background programs which use OpenGL.

I'm having the same issue with regular FPS drops happening every 2-5 seconds beginning after a half hour or so of play. Once this problem "infects" a world only creating a new world stops the FPS drops, although they begin again after playing that world for about a half hour.  It seems to happen faster the more chunks are created in the world.  In another thread we discussed this as related to memory issues, although so far we can't seem to pinpoint the problem.
