Recently me and my friend made a server. We have the towny mod along with several other mods.
For some reason, only the admin can use commands, no one else can use a single type of command, if they try, it says unknown command.

You have to put the commands by the user groups in the "Groups.txt" file.

admins:c:*:mods:2
mods:b:/ban,/kick,/item,/tp,/tphere,/s,/i,/give:vip:1
vip:a::default
default:f:/help,/home,/spawn,/me,/msg,/kit,/playerlist,/warp,/motd,/compass,/tell,/m,/who:default

srry, let me clerify, we dont have any of the towny mod commands. We have all the rest of the commands

i know. Wat im trying to say, is that if anyone, a lord, a resident, someone not in a town, tries those commands they get a message saying unkown command.
Only the moderator can use any of the towny commands

Have you added it to the default users in the groups file?  That is essential for any of the commands to be used no matter if the user is a lord or whatever.

The website I gave you...read the first few lines.  It will give you a list of commands to put for default users and another for admins.

Also, it helps to read instructions or Readme's.

ok, so now, we got all the commands. Except for /towny map and /towny map toggle, for some reason, these wont work for anyone but the admin

Hey Guys...

Okay, so on the server i am on... I am the mayor. I typed
/town set perm ousiders off

And Some outsiders can edit (destroy/place) blocks, some cant.

I dont want outsiders to be able to edit my blocks AT ALL.

There is a griefer neighboring us.
