Introduction:

Your name is Leroy West. You are living in a house in the small town of Elkridge.

You have heard of recent tragic events at Cedarville, a neighboring town, from some
other people in your village.
The rumor that you've heard is that a scientinst by the name of Dr. L Eastrange,
whom most people consider to be out of his mind, let loose an army of robot-zombies on his
own town, intending to enslave the people of Cedarville. However, something went terribly
wrong. One of the robot-zombies was defected, and attacked the first person it saw, which
happened to be Dr. Eastrange himself while he was in a control room. Dr. Eastrange was
killed, running for his life, by his own creation. Since there was now no one to control
the robot-zombie's behavior, they all went out of control, destroying the town and almost
everyone that lived in it. The few survivors took small boats to Elkridge to escape.

You plan to go to the town of Cedarville, find the source of the robot-zombies, and
destroy it.
Some of the survivors from Cedarville say that one day they heard Dr. Eastrange
raving about a factory in another realm, and a portal that takes you there. They say that
Dr. Eastrange has a laboratory just outside of Cedarville, and that it was shut down just
before the attack.

You think that the portal to the factory is located inside of the laboratory, and
that to access the portal, you will need to restart the laboratory. You plan to enter the
portal, and travel into the mysterious realm to destroy whatever is lurking there.

Once you finally have all of this figured out, you set off on your journey to
Cedarville...

Looks like a neat map. I might make an LP of it tonight (channel in description), first episode should be up by tomorrow if I do make an LP. How long do you think it'll take for a full playthrough? Assuming the player is fairly competent of course, heh.

Thanks! I would guess that the map would take around 30 minutes to complete, although i'm not sure that's accurate (I forgot to time myself when it was in the beta testing stages)

I saw your application post in the [SHOP] forum thread and was compelled to check out your map. The storyline is very interesting, and the screenshots you provided are gorgeous! I'll take it for a spin! :D

this map was extreamly fun to play! i did it with a friend and recorded it it took almost two hours to do but we we're kinda confused on where to go and had to cheat past a few parts where we broke the map...plus breaking blocks that we wern't supposed to break..in the end we're cheaters but still i loved the map and i'll be keeping in eye out for anymore of your creations-sincerely conover7283

That, that ending.

Fantastic map you have here, buddy. Design was great - beautiful aesthetics all around, and you really utilized the texture pack to the fullest extent.

Puzzle-wise, it was okay. The puzzles weren't extremely varied or clever, but it provided a good enough challenge. Plus this is an adventure map, not a puzzle map!

Story was really interesting. You told the story through the design of the building and the landscape, instead of just writing it out on signs. One could call this lazy, but in your case, I call this forcing the player to use his imagination ;)

All in all, great map. I cheated a bit near the end - I turned to peaceful after I lost all of my stuff after accidentally going into a wall - but besides that it was a fun playthrough. 8.5 out of 10 :Diamond: from me!

I'll post a link to the first episode of my LP once it is done. Keep making maps!

...due to sleep deprivation I accidentally made a trailer for your map instead of editing the first part. I hope you don't mind.

ClevelandBaller, excellent idea and creation for an adventure map. :iapprove: :Diamond:

Many thanks for the link and recommendation for the use of my texture pack...I'm very glad you think it could be of some use. :)

As soon as I can, I'll put a link in my OP, but in the meantime feel free to 'post' a link in my thread too. I'm sure many folk who still use my pack would love to give your adventure a go.
