I downloaded the minecraft mod adventurecraft . I have heard it is really good. I unzipped it and double-clicked the AdventureCraft.jar. It said it couldnt run, like i am trying to run a minecraft.jar! WHY IS THIS HAPPENING I JUST WANNA PLAY ADVENTURECRAFT! Does anyone know why this is happening?

P.S. I tried to run it using an absolutly fresh Minecraft 1.1 on Mac OSX 10.6.8

???? Have you seen what the mod looks like? I dont think it needs modloader and there are no .class files.

Ahhhm, you don't need ModLoader or anything... you simply need to extract the files (or whatever you do on Mac), and run Aventurecraft.exe, or you might have to run the AdvnetureCraft.jar file, and if that doesn't work...YouTube!! If that doesn't work...ReDownload!!
In summary:

1) Run .exe file
2) If fail, run AC.jar file
3) ...
4) Profit!
5) If no profit, YouTube
6) ...
7) Profit!
8) If no profit, redownload and try again
9) ...
10) Profit!
11) If no profit, profit will never be collected. Do not pass GO. Do not collect $200.

Hope that helped!!

I would suggest trying MCPatcher for installing mods easily. Especially if you're attempting to install them on a Mac. Even though it's mainly a HD texture patch, applying the texture patch is purely optional, so you can use the tool to install mods very easily.

I have a similar problem. But on my Mac it runs and has 2 buttons saying "install" and "install via login", but I can't press them. Plus there is no big image in the background, just a tiny window. :(

Please help!!

download adventurecraft from here, then using winzip, extract the files to your desktop, you should get an adventurecraft folder and in that folder there is another adventurecraft folder, click it, then click on the adventurecraft application, then click on install with login, type in your minecraft username and password then a progress bar will show up (you may need to copy the patch.dat file from the first adventurcraft folder you just downloaded and paste it into the second one and try to install it with your login again) then click start and it should work

this is what i had to do in order to get it to work, but it may be different for you.

CAN THIS BE SIMPLER?
Rename to minecraft.jar.
Drag into bin.
Run mine craft.

Guys I had the same problem, and I have a Mac. It's this easy:
1) Download and install Forge API (REMEMBER TO KEEP THE META_INF IN THE FORGE DOWNLOAD, NOT THE META_INF ALREADY IN MINECRAFT.JAR!)
2) Run minecraft. This allows Forge API to install.
3) Download adventure craft. If you already have, skip to step 3.
4) Open adventurecraft.jar with Archive Utility.
5) Place the contents of adventurecraft folder in the minecraft.jar
6) Enjoy AdventureCraft.

If this does not work, find another way. This worked for me.Posted Image
