Hey Guys,

I've started a brand new Let's Play series based on Minecraft 1.1 which contains several well known mods. Focus will be the automation of every process, from the log, to the gear, to the finished engine setup.

For that purpose I'm using the following Mods:

INSTALL GUIDE:

If you have never used mods you should start with something more simple, because this is for more advanced users.



Step1:

READ FIRST:
Always backup your .minecraft installation including saves! I'm not responsible for any damage, lost data and/or corrupted worlds and I cannot guarantee that the guide is complete. You do this on your own risk. Run the game after every installed mod. And pls dont spam me with error messages...I cannot guarantee that it will work for you.

Start by downloading every Mod that I listed. If you don't want all of them, you can skip those you dont need, but you are then not able to load my map. However Modloader ModloaderMP and Forge are always required and Chickencore is additionally required when installing NEI and/or enderchest.

You start the Installation by navigating to your .minecraft folder ( WindowsKey + R -> type in %appdata% )

Go then to the bin folder and open minecraft.jar with a zip program like winrar or 7zip

Also open the zip-files of modloader / modloadermp and forge!

Now select all items in those zip-files and pull them into the minecraft.jar ( but dont pull them onto the folders )

After that delete the META-INF folder in minecraft.jar ( Run minecraft and test it )



Now you can simply pull the following mods that u downloaded into your "mod" folder:

Industrialcraft²
Buildcraft 3 (all zips)
Redpower 2 (all zips)
Equivalent Exchange
Railcraft
LaserMod

as well as every mod listed in the Addon section.

The Portalgunmod is installed by opening the zip folder and extracting the folder directly into the mod folder. Same procedure applies for Computercraft!


For the following mods you need to open your minecraft.jar again:

Optifine:

Open the Optifine.zip and drag all .class files into the minecraft.jar


ChickenBone's Mods:

If you want to install either or both of the mods you need to install chicken core first. Same procedure as for optifine, open the mods zip folder and drag everything files and folders into the minecraft.jar

-> Repeat that for Enderchest and/or NEI

For Enderchest and NEI


Convenient Inventory

If you install NEI and CI be sure to install NEI first. If you have NEI installed only drag-drop the ConvenientInventory.class file into the minecraft.jar!


Rei's Minimap

As explained before simply Drag-drop the files and folders into the minecraft.jar

Step2:

Next you need to download this file:

Then extract the folders and files in the zip into a folder. Then copy-paste all those files and folders into the .minecraft folder! And it should ask you to replace the files, do replace them.

After that you should be able to start the game without getting modloader crashes due to conflicting IDs!

For those of you who aren't that interested in the Machinery, I will do some special episodes in which I will just showcase some of the hopefully good looking builds.

I apologize for the first few Episodes, they haven't been quite as good. This is my first LP so dont be too harsh From Episode 3 on I got sound working and the overall "quality" should be better.

hey there! loving the series so far (only on episode 3) i tried downloading the mods you use but it just gave me a black screen. so i tried the technic pack but it has loads of random blocks you dont have. could you like upload your files or something? im gonna try again so ill get back to you. anyway keep making the videos they are good


or atleast how did you get rid of all the blocks from redpower like the slab strips and stuff like that. its adds like another 30 pages to my NEI

I uploaded my config files that should be enough, anything else would be Illegal. Always be sure to delete the META-INF Folder! That causes blackscreens. Without any errorreport I can't give you any advice.
