Anyone got any clue as to how you tame an Ocelot? I've tried raw/cooked beef, steak, chicken, fish, rotten flesh, milk, bones and even eggs.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Okay, apparently you need to stand still and hold a raw fish in your hand several feet away from them. They will come to you, then give them the fish. Then they will turn into a cat of random type. Which then attacks chickens.

Thanks to Bizzy for  discovering this.

They probably can't be tamed in this snapshot.

I don't think they drop anything, much like wolves. But I'll kill some to see.

Edit: After killing about ten or so and recieving nothing, it's safe to say they don't drop anything, much like wolves.

Ofcourse! They play with that stuuf like cats do IRL!

Try doing more then 1? Dogs needs bones, cats needs gares?

Wool does nothing. And jesus, these things are fast. Also, they don't react well to fences.

You can tame them, I found out! Look in the topic 'ocelot discussion', posted it there!

I think we need to think outside the box. Maybe feeding it something isn't how you tame it. Maybe you have to do something else. I tried sneaking up to one, because they seem to run away from you when you get close. They seemed to approach me when  I stood still, but if I moved the cursor, they ran.

Credit goes strictly to getinthecartpig for this via Twitter. He mentioned that they can in fact be tamed and breeded into kittens.

I would update this to offer that they are domesticated, not tamed.  You cannot get them to do anything for you but look cute.

Domesticated is what you do to pigs and such. On the snapshot page it clearly states the new mobs are "tamed."
