Chococraft 1.2 [MC 1.1] - CHOCOBOS NOW FLY! *.*

Every time I tame a Chicobo, I let it wander around on my little Chocobo farm. Once the Chicobo grows up (via time, not a Gysahl Cake,) it is no longer tamed. I have to use more of my Gysahl Greens to tame it again.
I would assume that's a bug, anyway. (^-^; )

That's actually not a bug, but it does make sense to keep him tamed after he grows up, so I'll look into it. Thank you for mentioning it

The chocobos can be a bit rare, but the Gysahl Greens are all over the place. It really depends on the world generation if you're gonna find some easily or not. If those are there, you'll surely find some Chocobos around. I think you have to build a new world for the Chocobos to spawn, btw.
If you did create a new world and they don't appear, I'll look into making it easier to find Chocobos in forests.

But chocobos should not be higher ? (same height as the player)
IDEA! Certain colored chocobos can be bigger than other. The big ones can be ridable, and the cute original ones can not be ridable, but have their own special abilities!

1, Adjust the color on the G Greens to blend a bit better with Vanilla MC. They are a bit to bright and stand out a bit too much for my liking.
2, Reduce the spawning of G Greens. Make naturally spawning greens a bit rarer and make it so that seeds can be acquired and then players can set up a farm to get more. Maybe putting one Green in the Crafting Table will yield 3 seeds.
3, May also want to consider reducing pack size. I am getting packs of like 12 or more currently. (not a bad thing when you need food
4, MOOGLES!!! I NEED MOOGLES WITH MY CHOCOBOS!!! ... >.> (I do have a few ideas on their uses in game)
~~~~~~~~~
All in all I am loving this mod so far. Keep up the good work.
edit that is the ONLY bad thing about this AMAZING mod
I recently have been wondering how to make it easier for player to control Chocobos, to tell them to follow them or to wait or wander around. Perhaps a Chocobo Lure would be a great item for this.
Thank you for your comment. I'll be looking into each and every one of these bugs. Although the Golden Gysahl one is not a bug, i'll look into increasing the chance for yellow chocobos to mutate, cuz i want the gold ones to still be rare. This is because I made this mod keeping in mind the development of the character too. So I wanted to make a mod that would keep you interested and make you get rarer things like gold, so you don't have everything at your disposition right off the bat.
Yes, they do need time to mature and be able to breed. I'm gonna try and play a little with height, so players know when he has matured of not.
I recently did some adjustments to the size, but I'll take into consideration your comment. I've also been thinking about randomizing the height of Chocobos, so they aren't all the same.
Thank you for the list of issues. I'll comment on them:
1. The icon for Gysahl Greens was actually taken from Final Fantasy 3. I've been thinking about doing a second "texture pack" that the players can choose.
2/3. Oh yeah, these. These are so hard to adjust cuz you really have to take into account the random aspect of world generation, so it's hard to figure out what the values in the code really mean. As it is, I stated I wanted the pack size to be between 2-6. So I'm gonna need a lot of testing to adjust these ;P
4. AWW Moogles. Who knows? I want to have a stable Chocobo mod first, with the bare essentials of it. Perhaps I'll work on it too ;P And obviously, I'm gonna have to make Moogles ride Chocobos too
Well, I did play FFXI but only for like 3 months, in Quetzacoatl. I couldn't afford it back then. Now that I can, I'm playing FFXIV ;P Edeon Vails, in Fabul server
P.S also do the chocobos come in different colours?
I actually played every FF, from 1 to 14 now, including some spin-offs like Dissidia and Crystal Chronicles. I'd have to say my fav was 7, but followed very closely by 9 and 6. I think FF7 has an amazing world, characters and plot and everything is weaved in perfection.
And the Chocobos do come in different colors, check out the screenshots below the download link
I'm new in the forum, and i have a problem with this mod.
A few weeks ago I started a survival mode in where i go well. Then i began looking for interesting mods. I found this mod, and how I love chocobos, I installing it in the moment.
When I loaded my game again (wich I begun earlier), There weren't any chocobo o Gysahl Greens. I believed that I have installed the mod incorrectly but when I try it in a new creative world, I see the world is full of gysahl greens and chocobos.
I don't know if it is a bug (wich make that the mod only works in a new generated world ) o really I installed incorrectly the mod
¿someone can help me?
Thank you very much and I repeat that this mod is cute and genial.
