Well, a problem causing lag might be that you need to clear some space on your computer, cause thats what happened to me and when i cleared space on my pc, my frames almost doubled...
might not work but that worked for me.
Also, are you Australian? cuz i noticed one of your textures are VICTORIAN mansion or whatever.

I did a disk defragment and hard drive clean-up just a few days ago. That should have covered it.

Although I'm curious....why in the world would you think I'm Australian because I made a Victorian-styled texture pack? As far as I know, the two aren't deeply related. :P

EDIT: OMG 16x wolves are annoying. -___-

"Victorian" refers to the style of the Victorian Era.

And where do you think VICTORIA got its name from?

Australia, that former British Colony....

the customizer has literally, only 2 alternate options. but we dont need a customizer for this pack anyway!
suggestion: maybe change the iron and gold ore to look less crystalline?

You are welcome to not use the customizer if it bothers you. :)

Hey, is it fine if I post a few alternate textures for usage here? I made a few for myself since there was some I wanted to change.

Hm...well I've been using optifine for a while, but only really to work on my adventure map, which exists in an already generated world. I think the problem might lie in trying to create a new world/generate new terrain while using optifine. It already gives me those see-through chunk errors sometimes. :\

I had the see-through chunks too and hated it. It's interesting that it's only giving you problems on new worlds. I've been playing the same 1.8 world forever it feels and it was giving me problems in that. I'm holding out for 1.2 until I start a new world. Any update on the crashes?

Sure, go ahead and post them. No promises that I'll put them on the customizer, but I'd like to see them. :)

K, here they are. Some of these are recolors just a note.

Firstly, I disliked how small the diamond ore was. I think I know why it was like that, since it's so rare, but he's a bigger diamond version.
Posted Image

I've also disliked the pinkish color for mycelium, so I've recolored it.
Posted Image

Nextly, I've recolored the netherrack to blend in more with the other textures. I've also recolored the netherrack for the glowstone since I dislike the lantern glowstone in the nether, seems odd. That means I've changed the lantern textures accordingly. I ain't really statisfied with these though, netherrack seems a tad too dark and glowstone just... needs it's own texture, so I may work on making a new glowstone texture.
Posted Image

Lastly, I've edited the wood to not be darker on the edges, since I find it odd when wood blocks are connecting like that.

Either way, thank you for this awesome pack. After a long time, somebody captured my preference for textures, and I finally got the perfect texture pack for me.

How the heck do you find the time to run yet another pack, Feathers? :D

This is a gorgeous 16x pack and is exactly as you describe in the OP as being warm and uplifting along with the best darn cobble I've seen yet squeezed into any pack. It has a flinty, bumpily, realistic goodness to it that tiles beautifully. :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond:

I'm beginning to think you're a secret organisation of tiny texture elves and not a real person at all! :P

Me and glowstone have issues, unfortunately. :P Things were so much simpler before Jeb put in lanterns that could be switched on and off-- now I don't really have an excuse not to make natural glowstone. *grumblegrumble*

I'll have to look at what you've done a bit more before I decide what to do with it. Although I think it might be a good idea to have a less purple shroom grass, like you suggested. :3

I have a very big problem, guys, and I'm hoping someone can help me out.

I used to be able to play minecraft for hours on end without a problem, but now my computer freaks out and locks up after about an hour, sometimes less. The freak-out usually coincides with my computer overheating, but I don't know whether that's causing it. Anyone know what's going on, or how I can prevent minecraft from using up so much processing power? I currently have optifine installed, and I'm running it on short view distance.

The problem with this issue (besides the obvious) is that I have no real reason to make textures if I can't actually play minecraft. I want to continue making textures, but there's no point if I can't play the game.

If it's overheating, you might wanna check on the heatsink. Try removing all the dust from it; that usually helps alot.

It's much harder to actually make good streetlights now. :/ Hard to power them without it looking ugly.

aaaand spiders.

I'm wondering if this design would look better for the cave spiders, since cave spiders are supposed to be exotic and poisonous and all that. Thoughts?

First of all, your animals are GORGEOUS! WONDAFUL! =D

Second, I like the idea of greenish cave spiders for some reason... I think this texture is still suited for the normal guys.

Love the cows and spiders. And I feel as far as exotic goes, I'd say it's in between. It can go both ways, if you want to make it cave, slightly more exotic. Normal spider, less exotic.
