Lost my password and the email address associated with the user-name.
I don't know how I'll be able to recover my login now.
I've tried contacting support@mojang.com. It's been over a week and still no response.
Any ideas on what I can do would be most welcome.
Kind regards
P

I wish you the best of luck, as I have a similar problem. My account stopped working in the middle of October (although I do know the email and password, but it says that password resets have been disabled).
I originally emailed support@mojang.com on Nov 1.
I then forwarded the email on Nov 16 to support@mojang.com, notch@mojang.com, markus@mojang.com, payment@mojang.com but still didn't get a response. Then again on Nov 19.
Then I sent a new email just to notch@mojang.com on Nov 22.
35 days so far, still no response. I wouldn't have purchased if I knew the game was just a rental =(

I feel your pain.
Similar shorter story here myself, but I haven't bought it yet myself.
I'm still giving them the benefit of the doubt, though that's becoming more difficult as time goes on..
I'm really itching to buy this, and all I'm waiting on is resolving this issue.
I would be nice to at least get an acknowledgment of communication even if they can't assist in resolving the issue right away.

If you have any ideas to solve my issue (not the email address) I'd be happy to hear them.

If you don't have your e-mail, there is no real solution.

Both options require your e-mail and there is no other
way for notch to know that you are the owner of
the account you are claiming to have lost.
be more careful next time!

Can't you just make a new account with a valid/new e-mail address. It isn't like there was anything important attached to that one. If you haven't bought the game?

I want to log into the game with the same log as I'm using here in the forum.

So, your only drive to get this account back is because of the name?
Sorry bud, but you kinda lost that ability when you forgot your password and email. Was the email a temporary one or something?
Otherwise just make a new account with a permanent email. Add a number to the name or something.

I am not sure about the original poster, but I didn't forget my email, username, or password. In fact I use a password manager (which is standard on any modern browser, even Internet Explorer), and also an addon for Firefox called Lazarus, which remembers info I enter into html forms. My account was just plain gone, and not recoverable with the "forgot password" link, which just gave me the error "password reset has been disabled" - but my story ends with good news.
I tried again today, using the forgot password system, and it sent me a reset link. Just successfully reset my password and everything is good. I am not sure if someone finally read my emails after a month, or if my account just got fixed in a batch of others that were bugged. Either way, it is fixed now, and I'm a happy camper.
