LOL, when I clicked on it, Windows couldn't identify an application to open it with, but I suppose I may not have associated vsh files with anything.  I thought it might open like a jar... I'll try opening it directly from Notepad, thanks!

Update: Wow, I get so used to thinking about zip files as complete entities that I forget you can play with individual components...like you did in the old days.  Zip files were just to make things smaller for storing or emailing, now we use them as packages for our mods, etc.

Duh... Unzip, edit file, re-zip, enjoy.  Makes me feel a bit silly.

Hey sonic, did you fix the "problem"?

I really want to use the shaders, did I do something wrong with the installation?


(I know its not easy, I could never ever make even a shader mod ever)

I hate to be the guy who doesn't read the topic etc etc, but somehow I always get the error cannot be cast to TextureNM. I guess, the usage of shaders is impossble with the mods I have installed? The last time someone mentioned that this error is mod-related.

Are you using the GLSL shaders mod that is included in the topic?

And why Sonic shadersmod 2.0 incompatible with other shaderpacks?For example: when I change to Chocapic's13 Shaders WIP-4 everything is red?

Having a problem every-time i start a world it goes white screen and have to close the process in the task manager. Except when I turn on lite then it just turns into alpha but with absolutely no shadow at all.

Don't use the beta drivers they cause this issue.

Sorry then I guess you're out of luck because the newest beta drivers cause this issue. I don't know any other way of fixing this.

i have v08 lite. i dont need tree leaves or fancy water or super bright vibrant world. just some shadows. i am running a gt520 is why. the moving leaves dont affect my performance its just the lighting bloom thats going on.  idk if you would know what i can do to the files to edit out almost everything i dont need. i have pspad that can open any file ever that has text in it. would you know how to make the shadows of the dynamic shadows pack of the original glsl shaders mod visible from a farther distance than 10 blocks?

Thats really odd... I run a GT 320m ... And I get like 28-35 fps with V08 Ultra...

the shaders dont lag much intil i hit LOTS of leaves which is understandable. i use all mc settings maxed (not optifine options and performance is on power saver to make chunks load 4 times faster). Optifine does make me lag more than shaders though. i cant even load more than 10 chunks with optifine. without i load them instantly on far without it. is there a forge version of this or something? if you know my optifine error tell me. that, forge, and shaders were the only jar mods.

Update: tried render distance tiny and graphics fast. got a full 7 more fps than on far fancy. i need a gtx 650 ti boost
