because people have differents way of enjoying minecraft. Just like not everyone likes green tea, or chocolate biscuits.
Not to mention the fact that some people make maps simply to make a map that other players can play and have fun with (parkour, adventure, whatever). Would take them forever to farm all the sh..tuff, in some cases.

Or do what I did and build a 1,500x50x1,200 block structure by hand then realize that all during it's construction you got the proportions wrong of several of the rooms. Try moving that by hand after you have spent over 4 weeks building it just that SMALL section of a much larger project. I spent over 6 months working on that thing, building it by hand, and it is still not even 1/3rd complete. I gave in once this issue came up and used WE to fix the structure so I didn't have to redo weeks and even months of work. I respect other people's work, even if they did use WE. If you don't, well that's your arrogance getting in the way and you not seeing value in others' hard work. Its actually difficult to use these tools to make something that doesn't look like junk, terrain for certain. Not everyone is going to use these tools just to build entirely from them. Some instead use the more core tools to fix mistakes that if fixed normally by hand would cripple any large build project. So quite frankly, people with your attitude are the ones that I have 0 respect for.
Still haven't seen a 1.1 version, really puts a bind on my thoughts of building in creative again.

I think everyone should just shut the hell up saying that Quagiee should shut up. The fact is, all of you are missing the point of minecraft. The point of it is to build massive structures and then once you're finished you can think of how long it took and can be proud of it. Bloody hell, i built a 100x50x10 (LxWxH) colosseum in survival and flattened out that much land. yes it took a helluva long time but it was so worth it in the end. Minecraft is about enjoying building stuff block by block. thats my opinion anyway.
